Monday is the meat loaf night, it is really special and delicious, i asked with "Gorda" potatoes, amazing crunch potatos

We go for the gin martinis but stay for the dinner and are never disappointed with what we pick. I had an amazing poached salmon dish this time.

So glad I decided to try out Berlin on my first trip to San Miguel de Allende. The staff were very friendly. The owner Carlos came up and talked to me and helped me choose from the menu. I had the "light" Goulash which was...fantastic! Definitely recommend a visit to Berlin when in SMA!More

Berlin's was perfect in every way to meet friends for a special occasion like Day of the Dead. A variety of rooms and the bar made it ideal for small to larger gatherings of friends to mingle; food and beverage were great; and most of...all the SERVICE was suburb. English and Spanish spoken by all the staff. And the Katrina parade passed right by the front door. Great night at Berlin's!More

So, I have always liked and been interested in Berlin, but recognized, well, it is an ex pat cougar bar, which may be unfair. Well, 5 years later it is similar-i.e. good luck getting a bar stool at happy hour. BUT, we went there a...few times during our recent month long stay in SMA…and it was great. Once we went with friends to eat…super. Another time is was , admittedly after the rush, so the…”focused”, we gone. But, the owner was there and those of us late nighters (AKA 9:30 ish people) had a great time. I recommend Berlin. It is great.More

My wife and I have a house in San Miguel and visit often. This was my first visit to Bar Berlin. Since I was by myself, I posted up at the bar and ordered a beer and some of their well-reviewed goulash. Two very friendly...gentleman chatted me up and one, Carlos, ended up being the owner. Great coversationalists!! The goulash was great and so was the company. More of Carlos' regulars/friends came in and I ended up having several more drinks and staying much longer than I had planned...maybe the ultimate compliment for a bar. I will definitely re-visit the bar on my next trip and hope to find Carlos at the bar...he already feels like a friend!!More

Great drinks (but not for WINE DRINKERS), Nice neighborhood atmosphere. Food is forgetable and NOT CHEAP FOR THE QUALITY!!!

The atmosphere here was very good. First we order drinks which were quite good then placed our order for our main meal. We were then served some bread which tasted very stale even though it seemed toasted. My husband ordered the jagerschnitzel and complained it...was just a big pork chop with lots of sauce that was very tasteless. My order was the oven roasted pork shank, served with spinach and herbed mashed potatoes. The meat had no flavour and had to be adding salt and pepper. The gravy was so watered down, thin, colourless and tasteless and the meat had been burnt at the bottom. There was no spinach, but some other large leaf green vegetable with thick white veins, maybe swiss chard and this too was tasteless. The mashed potatoes were hard and not freshly made. This was the worst meal had in SMA.More

We loved everything about this place, the energy, the decor and the space itself. We were a group of 6 and ate in the private dining room just off the bar area. Everyone loved the meals and the cocktails. We have friends that live here...and said this is where the locals go. We will go back.More
