Very small place near the Centro. The chef comes out personally to see if everything is ok. I ordered the chicken mole, and my husband ordered the pork stew. We both liked the pork stew the best. It was served with a side of rice. The stew has potatoes as well as pork. The ice cream is made from the... More

This restaurant used to be in Guadalupe but recently moved to centro near the handicraft market which is a much easier walk for us. I had heard good things that the chef cooked meals using very traditional pre-Spanish ingredients and that everything very fresh. We went for lunch and I had a soup, very large, while my wife has a... More

Our group of eleven visited the new location of this wonderful little restaurant in the Hotel El Mirador on Salida Real a Queretaro #88 - right across from the Mirador overlook of San Miguel de Allende. Normally only open until 6, Chef Maria took our reservation for 6:30 and she and a helper cooked for our little group. Having read... More

Visited here with 6 people and we were seated on the upper level. The food was delicious and very affordable. The chef/owner was so very hospitable.

Possibly they have moved, but if so, there was no indication of where. In place of Sabores y Salsas is a sandwich/salad place that is pretty decent for those looking for a healthy lunch.

On the advice of a friend we decided to visit the new location of Sabores y Salsas. It is now located in El Hotel Mirador on the exit road to Queretaro. The hotel is a budget place with a great view, especially from the upper floor. When we reached the last level we were greeted by a Mexican lady that... More

Maria the owner/chef is a delight. We enjoyed dropping in here last year and when we did again this year we learned she was offering a cooking class on Mondays and immediately signed up. We began the 10:00 am class with a delightful plate of Chiliquilles and Mexican coffee. She showed us how to make the simple but lively tomatoe... More

Having experienced and reviewed Sabores Y Salsas on my last trip to San Miguel de Allende, we were anxious to try it again this time. It was everything we remembered - and more! Maria, the delightful chef/owner/host, offers a Sunday Buffet that we didn't know about before (hours: noon - 6:00 PM) for 99 pesos - roughly the equivalent of... More

Stopped in this modest looking place on the Ancha when our destination restaurant was closed. Lucky for us! We were served a lemongrass tea, fresh bread with herb butter, and a wonderful stacked salad before we could unfold our servilletas by a sweet and attentive staff. Maria offers a fixed menu with options that changes everyday. Second course was a... More

The brunch on Sunday was excellent all for 99 pesos - a couple of kinds of soup, two meat dishes, salads and a good selection of desserts. The Molé was some of the finest I have ever had. The green Pozole was excellent. This is a buffet on Sunday - the only problem with it is the food is just... More

Description
We ate at this restaurant last and again this year. The menu is prefix that varies daily. The price is 99 pesos and they do not accept credit cards. The food was great each time. The restaurant is know by the locals and this is how I learned of it. I have several pictures of the restaurant and the food that was served that I can send if you contact me.
