Just by entering Via Organica, you can understand the mission this place has and the importance to the region.
A project completely born out of love, respect and care for the environment and Mexican traditions.
More than a restaurant, Via Organica is a utopia.
Sustainability is the name of the game, and yiu can see how everything in this place has a reason for being.
The staff was incredibly kind, gracious and knowledgable.
The food was delicious and you can taste the love they put into preparing so t for you.
And the queen of the plants, Rosana, is the mastermind behind this beautiful project. She made us feel so welcomed and at peace, that we felt the place was ours.
I highly recommend Via Organica for a delicious meal, a valuable class on sustainability and just a day in a place with a high sense of purpose.

I absolutely loved my visit to this place. The amount of care and depth of love for nature and the animals is palpable. The food tasted delicious; I didn't want to leave after my meal. This is a wonderful example for the rest of the world to follow on how humans, plants, and animals can prosper with intelligence, care for the common good, and respect for the land.
Taking a walk on the property and seeing the animals made me realize how much I love nature. This place is crafted with a lot of intelligence and care, and it is meticulously maintained by wonderful people who clearly have integrity and a deep love for what they do.
I hope to have the opportunity to stay here for a few more days. The food is delicious and offers great value for both its quality and portion size.

A group of us spent the afternoon at Via Organica and it was simply lovely sitting in the middle of nature waiting for our delicious food and drinks. It was a wonderful experience to share with friends and family. We can't wait to go back and spend more time there.

Just wow!! Via Organica is absolutely worth the drive! Visually beautiful while maintaining its purpose of education. We have eaten there several times, and each dish is better than the last. The staff are phenomenal, the grounds breathtaking, and the work they do is extremely needed. Tip: go to the little shop before you leave and pick up some fresh grown veggies and homemade desserts!

Via Organica is Excellent!We had a large gathering for a retreat and enjoyed an awesome meal and afternoon at the Ranch.
The meal was all organic and delicious!!!
I recommend the Specialty Salads, Enchiladas, Beef Stews and OMG! The Lamb Burgers!!
Also good selection of Mexcal, Craft Beers & Wine.
The Carrot Cake and Gluten Free/Vegan Cacao Avocado desserts with Organic Café finished off a perfect afternoon at the farm!!!

This is an amazing experience to see all the regenerative practices and organic produce thriving! The food is flavorful, delicious and colorful! The staff is top notch with the most hospitable and caring people. I highly recommend coming here and taking a tour of the ranch! Helpful hint bring bug spray for mosquitos.

The Via Organica farm and restaurant is an amazing place to visit. They may actually go a long way towards saving our planet with their research and regenerative farming and ranching practices that they encourage others to follow. They offer a tour of the farm that is fascinating and educational with a focus on why sustainability is so important. They practice what they preach so everything they do, build, consume, grow is done so with the health of our planet in mind. The restaurant served the best food we had on our month-long trip to San Miguel. By far!

Such a breath of fresh air as a place to learn about healthy and sustainable food through all the cycles of growth to eating! Definitely grab a meal there and shop in their small store to find healthy ingredients and natural body products. They even have great straw bags and hats that are made sustainably. A great place to learn and relax!

Wonderful restaurant, grounds and people! 5 stars all around. Food is organic and delicious. Mission is to teach sustainable farming. Grounds are beautiful for a walk, hike or bike with 360 views of San Miguel a d the area. The owners and staff are helpful, warm and friendly.

Incredible place to reconnect with nature and organic living!
This place is a gem 💎 Enjoy amazing food "farm to table" style, so fresh and delicious you'll be happy you had dessert too! All staff are super friendly and attentive! Walking on the grounds makes you realize how nature is so fantastic and incredible. A must when visiting SMA.

The food was fresh and delicious! A wide range of options from salads to lamb burgers to chili relleno to dessert -- the guacamole was the best I've ever tasted. The service was excellent in a beautiful outdoor setting. I'm inspired by Via Organica's mission -- regenerative agriculture methods paired with local employment and a source of education globally to others who share their goal of improving the land and providing healthy outcomes.

Learning about the farm and also about making tamales is super interesting and very enriching. Rosanna is a wonderful host and guide. She informed us about the culture and food and all the farming techniques. The grounds were amazing. I highly recommend the gift shop to support their cause.

Via Organica is the real deal. This is a project that can address climate change, while providing stable livelihoods, and food security. Highly recommend the guided tour of this regenerative agriculture demonstration site, and especially the innovative intercropping of Mesquite with agave to sequester carbon, regeneratethe forests, stabilize the soil and water, and provide nutritious feed for animals so people can stay on the land and make a living. The staff are genuine, friendly and informative, the site is truly inspiring. The store is fun and intriguing, and I cannot rave enough about the quality, taste, and presentation of the freshly picked food at the restaurant, including organic sustainably- raised meats and eggs.
The founders are doing service to desert agriculture all around the world by sharing the technique and training others.
Highly highly recommended!

Via Organica no longer has a restaurant in San Miguel’s el Centro area. The grocery store is still there but they have moved the restaurant facility to the outskirts, about
20 minutes away.
For Thanksgiving, they offered a trip to the new restaurant with van transport. Here are my impressions:
Pros. The ranch is rustic/elegant in a beautiful in a scenic countryside setting. Band was an unexpected treat.
COns: Food was generally quite good, except we had to wait forever and it came cold. Matron said it was left near an open door but I think they just forgot about us. Transport van was shabby with torn seats and no AC on a hot day. This was especially trying when we were loaded into the van, the doors were closed, and we had to wait about 15 minutes before they took off.
I get the impression the staff is not used to dealing with large groups (there were about 50 of us at this particular sitting). If they get their act together the new restaurant may be worth a visit.

My husband & I contacted Via Organica & since it was right after Day of the Dead, it was quiet & there were no tours available for 2. Rose & Laura kindly communicated with me thru email & I contacted their nice taxi driver Baltazar.
We walked around the ranch, bought a plant & spent the majority of our 3 hr stay hiking around the surrounding area. It was a peaceful get away after a few days in bustling SMA. Tho we didn’t eat at the restaurant, the 2 via organica review options include the cafe or ecotours & this seems the closer option.
