My husband & I contacted Via Organica & since it was right after Day of the Dead, it was quiet & there were no tours available for 2. Rose & Laura kindly communicated with me thru email & I contacted their nice taxi driver Baltazar....We walked around the ranch, bought a plant & spent the majority of our 3 hr stay hiking around the surrounding area. It was a peaceful get away after a few days in bustling SMA. Tho we didn’t eat at the restaurant, the 2 via organica review options include the cafe or ecotours & this seems the closer option.More

Our friends are vegetarians so when they recommended this restaurant we figured it would be too healthy to taste good. Boy, we were so mistaken! It was delicious! Rosanna, the owner, explained that the restaurant and grocery story would be taken over by the employees...in October as a co-op so I do hope it retains its excellence. I had the chicken enchiladas verdes which were outstanding as were the homemade corn tortillas. My husband and a friend had different dishes but all of us raved about the taste. We ate there twice and the second time we stocked up on organic groceries in the attached grocery store. This place is popular with British and American ex-pats as well as the locals...because it has excellent food, is spotlessly clean, has great service and is very reasonably priced. Go there!More

Really great, clean food. Organic, friendly, great place to pick up organic groceries and have a good salad.

We ordered 4 things off the menu in addition to their pizza by slice. Everything was really fresh, flavorful and delicious. Must visit if you are in San Miguel de Allende.

Food is good and fresh. I love the the fresh produce and organic items you can buy from their store. Service is not always friendly. Sometimes feels like they are doing you a favor.

Beautiful location with additional upstairs seating. Downstairs was split with restaurant and store with beautiful veggies. My food was very good, my guest order a veggie dish but it had chicken in it. We were the only ones upstairs so we had to go find...the staff. They offered to remake it but the thrill was gone.More

This place was terrible. Firstly, we asked for juices (which is why we came- to give our kids a veggie juice fix) and they said they didn’t have any. So we ordered lemonade for our kids. They were so bitter that they didn’t drink them....Then we asked for a margarita pizza but they said they stopped making pizzas at 12pm (and it was 2pm). So we ordered the kids a burger which was dry and bland. The chicken tamales we ordered had no chicken in them and the pico de Gallo had been sitting in a fridge for 3 days. When I walked out I witnessed some ex pats ordering juices (go figure???). They are riding the wave of ‘organic food’ for westerners and you pay the price for this. Fail.More

We enjoyed our lunch (we sat on one of the upstairs decks) at this small shop and restaurant combination and were delighted to find an interest in organic food production in San Miguel. The produce that they were selling was beautiful and they had a...very wide array of other food products for sale. Fun to browse through the shelves. A bit out of the way, but not at all hard to find.More

Stopped at this quaint lil roadside shop where they sell fresh organic produce, meats, and cheeses. Shared a place of guacamole e chips de tortilla (corn chips). This is the best guacamole ever! The vibrant green and the delicious balance of the tomato, cilantro, salt,...and lime was a delight. Would definitely go back.More

This spot was superb. My wife and I ate here for lunch. Everyone was friendly and attentive. They spoke English and was knowledgeable about the food. I had a craft beer brewed in house. Our chicken dishes were on point. They served organic produce and...farm raised animals. You can buy produce there as well. I would recommend this place for everyone.More

It is a small shop with veggies, deary, natural products. has an upstairs sitting / eating area where they grow vegetable. At time there are local musicians performing.

Started off having to wait quite a while to be seated. Not that it was busy, just that no one bothered. We then had to wait a long time to order. I started with the tortilla soup which was very good. I had the (dark...meat) chicken in pumpkin seed sauce ( don’t remember the exact name.). It was just ok, Accompanying vegetables, substituted for rice, were tasty and perfectly cook. The Mrs. enjoyed her veggie sandwich. Overall, didn’t come close to living up to my expectations.More
