First of all, the view is amazing. The ambience and setting is also astonishing. I would recommend this place for its location and ambience but maybe not necessarily for its food and service. Maybe it was just a bad day for them, but the staff...was very sleepy and made a lot of mistakes with the order. Eg. We ordered 5 drinks. 4 were served and one person had to wait another 10 mins to get hers. This is something i would not do. If you come as a group, you try to serve everything together. I also had to mention to the manager that rather than waiting ages for the waiter I had to walk and order at the bar instead. He brought us free Mezcal and apologised, which I think was very decent and honourable. As regards the food, it was average. Pork belly was definitely not impressive. Guacamole was a bit bland. Octopus was nice though. Fireworks at night were a great sight. To summarise, 1 point less for the staff and 1 for food. I wish i could leave 3.5 instead for the fact that the manager behaved appropriately.More

Absolutely stunning location! Make sure to get there early so you have a seat before sunset! The 2 of us split an order of ribeye tacos which were of average quality. But also had the guacamole which was excellent. Overall, worth a visit!

This bar/restaurant was highly recommended to us when we arrived at SMA and exceeded our expectations. The staff is very attentive and kind. We sat at the bar and Alonzo and Angel were our waiters who were superb. They recommended great drinks and even gave...us a mini mezcal tasting. They have a lot of knowledge and great story telling. Ask for Alonzo’s specialty drink with mezcal! The food was extremely delicious - we had the fish tacos and fig pizza. The flavors popped and really made each dish unforgettable. Each dish we had cane with a salsa which made the dish even more tasty! 🙌🏽More

The Luna Rooftop Bar has great views and great tapas. What more can you ask for. Certain nights there is live music to add to your pleasure.

Luna Rooftop Tapas Bar atop the Rosewood Hotel perched upon a small hill is one of the best restaurant bars in San Miguel de Allende and is a destination to savor at leisure. Being a little further out of the city center you get more...sweeping views of the city. The restaurant serves savory Mexican and Spanish cuisine. The cocktails here are fancy and superb. Despite the swanky atmosphere the drinks and food are reasonably priced. Our server was very helpful and friendly. Make a reservation to secure a table. Highly recommended!More

We always treat ourselves to at least a cocktail at Luna for the amazing view. The food is also very good, but certainly expensive for SMA. Of course, as with other places the prices compared to cities in the US are reasonable.

Located in the Rosewood Hotel, the Luna Restaurant (Tapas Style) & Roof Top Bar (fun cocktails & Margarita's) is perfect evening dining especially if arriving late in town the 1st night and missing dinner. It's open till 10:30pm and we just made it (9:30pm) for...a relaxing, late night snack. During your stay come back for Lunch, Cocktails & Appetizers, or light Dinner (Flank Steak Tacos, Bruschetta, Chicken Wings, Vegetable Baguette w/Goat Cheese, House Burger, Etc.). Arrive 4:30 - 5pm evenings for good seating & spectacular 180 degree views of the cities 3 churches & gorgeous sunsets. Waitstaff is friendly & attentive but can be pretty busy. NOTE: bring a wrap for evenings; while warm during the day (75 -80's) it gets cold once the sunsets!More

What a most lovely experience. The hotel lobby is beautiful and the views from the rooftop is exquisite. We enjoyed cocktails and appetizers while taking in the views and the sunset. Put this at the top of your list. Tip: Arrive early as it will...be busy during sunset.More

We went here twice we enjoyed it so much. It is comfortable, with great views. And that's true regardless of whether it's daytime, sunset, or night. The cocktails, wine and food were all excellent. It's more expensive than similar places but worth it.
