Stopped in at La Media Naranja for lunch today. A very nice, bright little restaurant just at the outside of Centro. They have a large variety of juices. I had Cranberry with mineral water. Tart and not too sweet. For lunch I had the daily special which was a Prosciutto ham with Brie sandwich and curry potato salad. The sandwich... More

On my arrival into San Miguel as I begin retirement in this lovely city, Francisco, the taxi driver who escorted me from Leon Airport, recommended I try this cafe at some time as it was both delicious and reasonably-priced! He was right on! La Media Naranja has become my favorite breakfast spot! The staff is kind and accommodating and the... More

This is a small cafe on the second floor. It seems to be popular with ex-pats -- there were several of them there when we were there. The food is simple, but good. The service was a bit slow, but otherwise very good. It is a good place to sit and eat while looking out over a busy intersection.

This delightful little cafe is located on the second floor above a pharmacy at the busy intersection of Hidalgo (#83) & Calz de la Luz. The food was delicious and wholesome tasting. Good sized portions and very friendly service. I had the salmon cakes which were amazing! They were accompanied by 2 salads, both delicious. There were several other choices on... More

The menus are interesting because they have all the typical lunch and breakfast fare but a few added surprises like good bagels and falafel dishes. the portions are very good. The food is very tasty. The people are wonderful and maybe most important the prices are more than reasonable. You can't go wrong here.

They have these crazy crack cocaine tasting brownie muffins that you must stay away from bc they are way too delicious! :P And clearly made with something like crisco (not butter) so yeah theyre tasty. They go great with a cheap $17 coffee. I wasnt a fan of the egg dishes as I found them too buttery, but they have... More

Staying at Hostel Inn, this is one of the closest place to have a quick lunch or breakfast at a decent price. Fresh produce, good fresh juices, this place is to me a great choice when staying in the area.

Cafe La Media Naranja was a delightful start to our day. After walking through the local artisenal market, my boyfriend and I found this gem nestled on the second story of a building on Calle Hidalgo and Calza de la Luz. Our host was accomodating and patient as she explained the difference between "huevos a la mexicana" and "huevos rancheros."... More

La Media Naranja is on the second floor over a pharmacy so tends to be over-looked by some. They serve fresh, well prepared dishes at a very reasonable price. The menu is sort of a Mexican/Gringo fusion. It works for me. I don't know where they get their baguette but it's always fresh and as good as I had in... More

I've gone back to Media Naranja simply because it was close to where I was living, and I have been disappointed every time lately. The juice has arrived lukewarm instead of cold, and when I asked for more ice I got a look like, "are you crazy?" Wifi hasn't worked for days but no one seems concerned. There is no... More
