We had a terrible experience but I guess they took away my last post. Server was not friendly, never got our bread that I asked for. The steak was hard. I guess the server thought we were from Mexico, no we we were actually on vacation from Chicago, IL. We should have gone to "Hecho en Mexico." But we decided... More

Tio Lucas is famous for their steaks. Think Outback in the US. They have a wide range of options and a pretty good wine list. But for our money we think there are better places for a steak. They prepare their steaks with a tenderizing agent which gives some people indigestion. The wait staff is pleasant and Max the owner... More

This was recommended as one of the best steak houses in the city and they were right on the mark. Had fabulous filet mignon and red wine!!!

The decor was spectacular with wonderful Mexican art displayed. W e went there as told good meat dishes available. filet mignon was perfectly cooked( rare) however their version of a steak au poivre has no resemblance of the classical sauce. Their purported famous ceaesr salad was different....large romaine leaves un cut and dressing was their version but similar to the... More

The food here was average but both the service and live music were quite enjoyable. I had the New York steak and my spouse had the spaghetti bolognaise. They were average at best, but we still very much enjoyed the night. The owner of the restaurant was circulating and ensuring that everyone was enjoying themselves. We thought this was a... More

We were used to visit Tio Lucas every time we came to SM de Allende. we loved the ambiance, the owner was always lovely, the service perfect and the food very good. We were in San Miguel for 9 days. We ate dinner here twice. I NEVER eat anywhere more than once when I visit a city because I want to try as many places as I can. So why did I abandon my rule. Because this was the best steakhouse I have ever been in (46 states and 35+ countries). And... More

After a fabulous walking tour for 3 informative hours, we were hungry, it was lunch time, our tummies were calling to us. On the advice of a previous Trip Advisor review, and it was close to where our walking tour ended, what the heck.from the outside it was soooooo pretty from the street. Beautifully done. Walking in was amazing, the... More

Excellent atmosphere with courtyard dining, complete with star shaped lanterns in the trees overhead. Our party of eight had a cocktail in the bar and proceeded to our table in front of the bandstand and that prevented us from conversing. 90% of the food we received came out either tepid or down right cold. My baked potato had butter in... More

Lovely environment, very traditionally Mexican, the owner is always around checking that everything goes well, and he's a pleasure to deal with. Cocktails are delicious and the live music makes a wonderful environment. Encantador ambiente, muy tradicional Mexicano, el Dueño siempre esta checando que todo marche bien y es un placer tratar con el. Los cockteles son deliciosos y la... More
