From the atmosphere to the friendly staff, this place is great for a quick bite or a cocktail after shopping the cobbled streets of San Miguel. We had excellent crispy tacos for lunch that were on special that day and the prices are quite reasonable....More

Great afternoon at Hank's - lively bar and restaurant near the Jardin. Fun for drinks or dining. The owner is usually there - nice hang out with other ex-Pats.

I enjoyed my dinner here - the oysters were excellent, the main - a massive pork tenderloin in a fruit sauce - was surprisingly spicy/hot, the sides (I chose mashed potatoes and coleslaw) were just ok. Live music was great, and service was impeccable.

We arrived in San Miguel de Allende just before dinner, tired and hungry from our day of travel that started at 3am. Tony mentioned that they had eaten at Hank's on a previous visit and enjoyed it. so we took that as a recommendation and...More

Drinks where good, there was a good atmosphere in the bar. Besides that there wasnt much to talk about, the margaritas where very strong. The prices where Good, but to me it feels like there are so much better and interesting places to visit.

Last time I had diner here was like 4 years ago and it was great! Unfortunately this time was the complete opposite thing. Music was way to loud, the service was very poor and the food was just terrible. All of us (4) ordered different...More

Super onion rings, nice music. The food is average for SMA,but that means good. The special taco night is fun, but get there early, In fact, you must always get there earlier if you want to sit in the "happening" bar, which is a great...More

I was GRANDPAcking in San Miguel for 7 nights. For 3 different nights, I found myself down Hank's for Happy Hour. Between 5pm and 8pm you get 2-for-1 drinks. House wines for MXP70. Margeritas for MXP75.... They also have a Taco Tuesday with good Tacos...More

When you hanker for a bit of Americana in Mexico, Hanks will fill the bill. Very New Orleans - decor and food - with no apologies to the locals. We had dinner there with live music floating in from one of the unseen but heard...More

This place is fun. It has an exciting "people are joyous" atmosphere. But, we have been there twice and the food is just...meh, except for the onions rings; they rock. Maybe I just haven't had the correct items (but, I tried the featured Rueben sandwich...More

Description
Hank's is the new name of the famous Harry's Restaurant with 12 years of history in Mexico, since 1999 in San Miguel Allende and since 2004 in Queretaro. Hank's is a bit of Louisiana and its "French Quarter", which offers the traditional Cajun cuisine from New Orleans. The atmosphere at Hank's is incomparable, you can enjoy a delicious dinner or spend a pleasant evening in the bar, drinking a margarita, a martini or a devastating hurricane while listening to jazz music.
