We always travel with our small terrier IKA (see photo). We called and booked our reservation at Hank's for 2:00 PM. We asked if IKA would be welcome. They said, "yes, of course". When we arrived, the head waiter told us that pets are not allowed. I explained that someone had assured us that IKA would be welcome. A young... More

A personal favorite for many locals. Full meal service at the bar makes it friendly for single service. Daily 2 for 1 specials keep the afternoon happy hour busy. Especially popular is Taco Tuesday margaritas and crispy tacos all day. Everything is fresh - love the blackened tuna and salmon dishes. At the bar - the Back To Life New... More

Went for lunch at Hank's on our most recent trip to SMA. Always has been a good place for casual dining. Very pleasant setting offering indoors and courtyard dining options. Food choices have a New Orleans style and portions are very generous, so much so that we usually have to take some home. Very good overall value.

Hank's was Harry's 21 years ago when my husband and I first began visiting SMA to visit my husband's sister, who had moved here. It is still such a great place to get a hit of New Orleans in the middle of Mexico. Good food, good music, good drinks, and lots of Gringos in the middle of centro. Plus, it... More

Located in pedestrian only artist park. Very scenic area, about 100 yards from roadway. The cafe has people watching tables outside, along with inside tables. We sat inside next to the piano player. We had mole and suckling pig. The food was excellent, not tourist food.

We had lunch there today and were not particularly impressed. Nothing really bad but very average food, nothing that would make be return. Staff was friendly and attentive.

Hank's used to be "Harry's" but after a long running dispute with the Harry's franchise, changed its name, but nothing else about the character and ambience. The menu is still the same, good food with a New Orleans theme and also some Mexican items as well. i have eaten there over the years and the food has always been good.... More

Description
Hank's is the new name of the famous Harry's Restaurant with 12 years of history in Mexico, since 1999 in San Miguel Allende and since 2004 in Queretaro. Hank's is a bit of Louisiana and its "French Quarter", which offers the traditional Cajun cuisine from New Orleans. The atmosphere at Hank's is incomparable, you can enjoy a delicious dinner or spend a pleasant evening in the bar, drinking a margarita, a martini or a devastating hurricane while listening to jazz music.
