The Barge Inn has been on our yearly visit list for the last 15 years and we have seen it morph and change hands a few times. From being a hub for crop circulars, stop off for barge folk, a BBC filming venue; to the present rock and roll theme. I once met Goldie Hawn here when the crop circle... More

Unless you arrive by narrow boat, this place takes some finding but is well worth it. Large, friendly, comfortable no-nonsense pub with good plain home made food (many vegetarian options) and local real ales. The Barge also has its own campsite so would make a good holiday touring base from which to explore Salisbury Plain and its ancient wonders.

This was an inexpensive meal but the pub had new management who were not fully sorted out. The location was good and if it can up its performance could make a fortune. Our starter and mains came at the same time so they were kept warm and this is never a good thing even so the food was OK and... More

The big downside for is was poo, lots of poo, dog poo everywhere outside around the benches. 4 adults, 5 kids and probably 30 poos. I'm all for dogs in and out of pubs but dog owners and bar staff need to be making sure the area is suitable for customers. The pub itself seemed nice enough, big mix of... More

I visited the pub yesterday for the first time - what a wonderful place! I ordered my drink then sat outside by the canal overlooking the white horse on the hill. Great for those with families or dogs and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I had 'Boho Burger' and it was delicious - I couldn't quite finish it... More

Canal side pub with moorings and a campsite. The food is good and reasonably priced. The vegetarian choices are not as good as in past years but you can still have a bean burger and veg lasagne. The pub is allegedly where crop circles originated and the Alien Invasion theme is throughout the pub with a mural and ceiling painting... More

This was a very welcome stop on our walk from Devizes to Pewsey. The food was good pub food. And there was a nice local pint. The staff were friendly . It might not be a great campsite but this review is how it performs as a pub ...and it performs very well.

The Barge at Honeystreet was my favourite local until the shark of an owner kicked out the previous publicans and split up the campsite. Sadly it has lost everything that made this place remarkable and now it's just a mediocre pub with terrible food, unfriendly bar staff, no pool table, no social firepit area, no musical instruments and no comfy... I visited the Barge Inn for an evening drink and meal with my partner after work the other week. The weather was lovely so we were really looking forward to a sitting outside watching the world go by and enjoying the views. Although the pub itself is lovely, we were very disappointment with both of our meals. I would not... More

Have been visiting the barge for over 10 years and have seen it go from great local to a noisy not quite clean pub. After stopping here on Friday with family, whilst on a cruise, will definately be popping in again. Much cleaner much friendlier and good beer. Looks like the campsite next door has been tidied up too!
