Stopped for a late lunch and saw this place on the way back from Keem. Was going to have a coffee and cake but saw that a BLT sandwich was cheaper than a slice of cake and healthier. My son got a burger and chips from the kids menu. It was plain and was burnt to a crisp. Friendly staff... More

We arrived around 6.30pm to a packed house...which is always a good sign. I had the seafood chowder and deep fried brie as wasn't too hungry and wanted to leave room for the crumble that I had spied in the glass fridge. Food was excellent my 9yr old had the chicken curry "an avid" fan and he gave it 10/10.... More

We stopped here in a storm for a few drinks. The staff were smiley and lovely but everyone there was soaked and freezing. The heating was off, the fire place empty and the 2ind blowing through gaps in windows. We sat shivering in our coats til we gave up trying to get warm and left. We were warmer outside. The... More

Good place to stop for a sandwich or a light lunch. I wouldn't be able to advise on dinners. Building is in need of a freshen up. Toilets weren't great ,they were in between the two eating areas and there was a smell as you passed by. Staff were lovely and friendly and went the extra mile with the children's... More

Poor seafood chowder, which did that special trick of not actually containing any seafood, just a few lumps of fish. Watery as well. The place needs a good scrub as well, particularly the couch in the corner.

You don't mess with mussels, or indeed any shellfish. We were impressed with this place when we saw that it was listed as 3rd out of 18 places reviewed in Achill. I opted for mussels and chips, with a glass of Guinness. The Guinness was good, the chips were reasonable, the mussels were prepared by somebody who was either incompetent... More

There's not much going on in Achill, in Keel specifically, so in terms of where to go for traditional Irish music, Geilty's was a no brainer. It was great. Went on one night for Irish (and country western), all contributions from the locals. We had a blast. another day we went in the afternoon for some soccer watching and, once... More

Typically Irish restaurant with friendly staff and lovely food. Very easing going, relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed eating and watching live sport on their sky channel. My kids adored the selection of ice cream on menu. Great place to go anytime of day to eat or just for a drink .Will definitely be back.
