Disappointed after previous visit

We had visited a couple years ago and were looking forward to our return visit. We had the family salmon dinner and although a great value, good size portion and overall good flavor the presentation with the potatoes and beans mixed in with the salmon and sauce was disappointing. Our server on Thursday evening was not very helpful and at times almost arrogant in his approach to our service. Worth a try, but we won't go back for awhile.

Wonderful!

My husband and I enjoyed dinner here on a recent visit to Avon. Service was great and very friendly, and our food was delicious. Great cocktails, too. We asked a few questions about menu choices, and our server made excellent recommendations. We mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary as well, and before we left, we were treated to complimentary glasses of champagne, which made a lovely meal even nicer.

Dined with friends here last night. We ordered the house salad, family style ($19.) It was not fresh. Greens were wilted. The croutons were mushy, as if they had been added yesterday. $12./glass for a house wine seems steep. Pasta dishes were good and ample. Adequate attention to spacing and wearing of masks was good. No bread served with dinner - and prices for entrees have crept up. Though they bill themselves as a family pasta joint, prices seem to high for most locals to afford.

Poor service, strange sauces

Firstly our waiter rang in the incorrect dish for our entrees. It seemed an honest mistake. My food sat there getting cold while the other order was corrected. When the correct dish came out, which was the Chicken Marsala the sauce on it was very strange. A typical Marsala sauce made with Marsala wine and Sherry. Maybe this is what they used but it tasted just like a brown gravy made from the powder packets. So it was basically noodles and chicken swimming in brown gravy. It was not good. The waiter never came to see how our food was and it was a relatively slow night, we could see him in the front area eating the incorrect dish he rang in. As a restaurant manager in Beaver Creek I would have absolutely offered 20% off or comped a couple glasses of wine for the mistakes made but we were still charged full price. (almost 200 dollars for two people) Poor service, poor food quality, high prices. Will not be back anytime soon.

Not the best. Our server was great, friendly & he seemed to be constantly moving, cleaning, helping guests. That was the only good thing. If you have an open kitchen, wouldn’t you clean your kitchen? It was filthy & should have made us turn around but we decided to try. The other funny thing about having an open kitchen is their cooks decided to keep their masked around their chin. Doesn’t make sense, we need to wear a mask if we’re up from our table but they don’t & their line is less than ten feet from tables. We got a pizza that had all ingredients in the middle, so pretty much you got one bite of toppings & the rest was crust. The cooks also decided to cruise Tiktok the whole time we were there. Nonstop laughing, over the top of all the guests. Very annoying. Instead of sitting on the counter & watching videos, maybe grab a rag and clean something. Cooks were coming and going through the main entrance without wearing masks as well. I guess they’re immune to the rules the servers, managers & diners have to follow. Do better.

"It's Just Pizza"

First time customer with questions and food order requests. I joked about being high maintenance on pizza toppings for our pizza and the waiter said "It's just pizza". I was shocked. My eyes got really big and said how would your manager feel about that comment? He said "you can tell him I said it....I'll go get him". Same server told the gentleman at the table next to us to "calm down" with obvious broad hand gestures. Salad was fresh and cold. Pizza crust was crisp and toppings fresh and tasty...served hot. But then again, it's just pizza.

Great lunch spot

While staying in Beaver Creek Resort we ate lunch at Sauce on the Creek. Our server was Shaynna, she was very helpful with recommendations from each of their menu categories. We followed her recommendations, my wife ordered the Chicken Parm sandwich w/a house salad and I ordered the Meatball Sub w/a Caesar salad, both were fabulous! We would return because of the great service and a delicious food.

Just Meh. Could have been better

Could have been an off night… food quality was meh. We ordered the bruschetta which was served on what seemed like a stale baguette. Also ordered the Brussel sprouts which just didn’t taste right either. The char on them was way too noticeable. The server forgot to place my sons order so we had to remind her while as we ate our meals. The Cesar salad was nothing to write home about either. It was interesting to see Parmesan cheese on the tables so covid safety must not be important up here. Probably should have ordered the pizza as that looked legit. Our server just didn’t seem engaged or like she wanted to be there. I’d like to return to try the pizza but not in any hurry

Long time local long time bad experiences.

I want to help these guys, I live close by but nobody likes them. Maybe they need a new owner, $30 pasta , they say the meat is crumbled, but you can't find a trace anywhere? Lame. I always support local, tourists just don't waste your time on these jokers.

Burned!

1st time ordering from them. They were supposed to bring it out to the car as noted on the online ordering. You even put in make, model and color. Waiting outside for someone to bring it out. Nothing, so I go in and surprise the pizza is waiting on the shelf. That was frustrating, but even more frustrating is the fact that the pizza was black/burned on the bottom. They should have known better and remade the pizza, but they didn’t.

Family style restaurant featuring Italian cooking

Located in Avon, right across from where the Walmart and Home Depot are located, this is a family style restaurant that specializes in italian food. Service was friendly and attentive. Good drinks too: from IPAs to limoncello mule and everything in between. Food wise, they also have an extensive menu. And since this is family style, two people can share let’s say their house salad and something else. In terms of appetizers, we had their bruschetta with fresh tomatoes, garlic, extra virgin oil, etc The carnivoro pizza (small one) was delicious. It came with pepperoni, meatballs, sausage, and applewood bacon all in a red sauce. Their penne allá gorgonzola was another delicious dish: Gorgonzola cream sauce, chicken, red grapes! This one is in Avon but I believe they have another location in Silverthorne so you could end up there after some retail therapy at the outlet stores there.

Outstanding meal!

We ate on a Wednesday evening and it was a full restaurant (made reservations). The family style salad was perfect for three of us. We all were very happy with our meals. I had the braised short ribs and it was excellent. Wonderful waitress and very attentive. Would have loved to try the desserts but no room-they looked delicious. Highly recommend this place!

We hesitated to try because of the poor reviews, but glad we did. Food was excellent, service great. We particularly loved the eggplant tower and the penne with vodka sauce and added shrimp. Both were tasty and servings generous. our server was very efficient and friendly. We will definitely stop here again.

wonderful surprise

We had a wonderful take out supper -- the order process was easy, everything was correct, but best of all the food was wonderful. The pizza was some of the best we've had in Colorado and the arancini and fried ravioli were terrific. The chicken parm was also very good but was a little dried out by the time we got it home. The restaurant looks lovely and when the craziness is over, we'd love to try eating inside.

Great happy hour dinner

My wife and I joined another couple for an early happy hour dinner. The specials were $10 each for small plates. We tried the rigatoni and sausage, filet tips, and shrimp scampi. The tips were awesome, but the scampi and rigatoni were good as well. We also ordered family style salad and margherita spaghetti. There was plenty of food for all of us. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and their normal prices are very reasonable if you don’t want to eat early!
