I do pop in at the Empire Cafe on a not so regular basis and mostly for lunch. Being a banter I have always avoided the burger option as the standard chips with the burger is a no-no. I should have studied the menu in more detail... There is a option to replace the bun with a butternut routine. The... More

We had a delicious sandwich on homebaked bread. Liked the table on the terrace. Good coffee and friendly service. Great oatmeal cookies.

We went for a quick lunch. The view over False Bay, especially from the upper level was just something else. The service was prompt, but a little confusing as the waiters didn't seem to have coordinated, so more than one would try and take your order and say the other shouldn't. The food was ok. Wouldn't rush back but for... More

We had breakfast there once and it was good but nothing extraordinary. Their coffee is decent and the venue quaint. On the plus side, it's within striking distance of a little gem of a rare books bookstore, Rattlesnake Books - so close, in fact, that you may get bitten ;) Buy a book and then go settle down on the... Sit upstairs. View over the railway line and the ocean is superb. Nice selection of mixed juices. Chilled spot for breakfast. Staff were friendly. We enjoyed the meal. No Banting options.

We went there for breakfast this morning and were told to sit anywhere. We sat down, ordered and shortly after our breakfast came were asked to move as apparently this table was needed for another group. The other group was standing there watching us and it was extremely embarrassing. If the table was reserved they should have told us before... More

It is a great place to have lunch or Breakfast. The staff is very friendly. You can sit as wel upstairs where you can have a great view on the ocean. Prices are reasonable priced.

We had afternoon tea at the Empire Caffè today. The venue is great. The views of False Bay magnificent. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Thank Clinton C
