As other reviews will tell you, just go and enjoy some of the best tacos you will ever taste! This restaurant is so popular that if you do not go early-ish, you will have a limited menu. They have perfected their craft and every taco we had was delicious. What should you drink? They have Coca Cola in a glass bottle and the best fresh fruit water we have tasted. You can't go wrong either way. For two people to eat a ton of food, it cost us about $10. We went, in total, about five times while we were in Tulum.

I’m glad we didn’t let the long line deter us from trying this place out. It turns out, the line was mostly for people who are taking their food to go, so we were seated in less than 10 minutes. Note: when you get there, you have to sign your name on a piece of paper they have by the front, there is no line (I’m talking about if you want to dine in). The service is very prompt and the staff is very friendly. I would say the tables are spaced out pretty well (covid standard) considering the amount of bodies they have dining in this restaurant. Food was amazing, my husband and I tried all the tacos on the menu but there was one that stood out the most and that is the conchinita pibil. I’m not sure what kind of hocus pocus they did to make it taste the way it does, but it made my eyes sparkle. But of course, don’t let that hinder you from trying the other options they have because all were delicious and worth trying. The meats are so juicy and seasoned to perfection, pair it up with a bottle of coke and you have yourself the perfect meal. The prices also can’t be beat consider we stayed in Tulum beach and you all know everything there is so overpriced. Parking was a bit of a pain, but if you don’t mind walking, there are plenty of spaces available a block or two away. Overall, I am very much looking forward to dine here again.

Good spot! There was a waitlist when we arrived with maybe 6 parties ahead of us and we waited ~12 mins, not long at all. Tables turn over exceptionally fast. The lechon was juicy, rich, and delicious. The cochinita pibil was not the best I’ve had. I felt like it wasn’t as flavorful and I was hoping it to be. Service was super speedy and can’t beat the price — tacos are ~$1USD each.

All the good things you read are true about this place. Delicious, amazing food served with a smile. Definitely go if you're in Tulum. I'd say half locals and half tourists, a really wonderful vibe. All the meat tacos were delicious as were the fresh condiments on each table. Love this place and hope I can go back one day!

We were in town for a weekend wedding. Our Airbnb was near this corner and we passed by it almost every day. Each day we said to each other, "we should stop here before we leave," and kept putting it off. It was always reasonably busy and full of locals so I knew it had to be good. On our last day, we went here for an early lunch and I started beating myself up right away. I got a horchata and some tacos. The price and flavor was amazing and this place is definitely on my list to go back to when we come back to Tulum. If you're walking by, just stop in real quick and grab a bite. It's completely worth it.

My wife and I had quite different perspectives of this restaurant. There are multiple pork offerings and she really like what she got. I do not usually eat meat and ordered the vegetarian tacos and was very disappointed. They were edible but not more. The accompanying salsas are just okay. There was a very hot salsa verde, but the more typical salsa (by US standards, since salsa means sauce), was more onions than tomatoes and greens. The waiter was helpful.

Wow!! The raving reviews are accurate for this place. These tacos are insanely good. Came to this place almost every other day. Lol My go to became the Lechón tacos, Cochinita Pibil Tacos, and carne asada tacos with cheese. Generous servings of meat to the point the tacos are overflowing. The aguas frescas are great as well. Great price for what you’re getting as well.

First of all, if you want authentic food in Tulum, this is your stop. Of course, we tried the cochinita pibil and the relleno negro tacos - both were excellent! I wish we had time to come here every day in our trip. Get there early so you don't have to wait. They serve food until they run out...and they will. We will make this a regular stop on our Tulum trips. They have table service and take credit cards. I read about Taqueria Honorio in "Hungry" the travel memoir which follows Rene Redzepi through his journey to reinvent Noma (CPH). The author travels with Rene Redzepi and his team through Mexico, and speak highly of the traditional ways the food is prepared here. It was so great to experience it first hand. This restaurant started as a food cart and has grown to a full size restaurant with table service, and they continue to cook and honor the traditional ways of the Yucatan. We made friends with two staff members at the hotel we were staying at in Tulum, they invited us for breakfast at Taqueria Honorio to show us an authentic meal of Tulum - this made our experience even more special!

My wife and I went on a tour of 3 Centoes. Our tour guide Carlos Carlos recommend that we go here for tacos. Thank you Carlos for the recommendation the tacos were amazing!!!! Definitely the best tacos we ever ate. Very inexpensive tacos, great selections as well. Make sure to bring cash they do not take cards. They do not sale beers or alcohol beverages but you will not be disappointed with their tacos.

Passed this on my way to my hotel in Tulum center. Even before 11 in the morning the place was packed so I noted the location on my map. Later i checked TA for suggestions on where to go for lunch and the place came up highly rated. Arrived around noon to find a line of both mexicans and tourists waiting to get in. A good sign! I only waited a few min before being allowed entry. I ordered one of each taco (3 different pork and one chicken). I have been to Mexico 3 times before but this just might be the best tacos I have ever had. Simple, yet tastefull, all packed with flavour, beaytifully arranged. This is a true gem in Tulum. There is quite alot of overpriced wannabe restaurents serving modern takes on mexican and japaneese food. Avoid them. Go here and dig in! I will be back for more tomorrow

When we arrived at the airport in Cancun, our driver told us that if we had time, we should go to Tulum and have the cochinita pibil tacos. If you're not sure what that is, look it up and brace yourself for greatness! The day after arriving we decided to go to Tulum and swim in the Gran Cenote, but first we decided to find those tacos the driver told us about. Thanks to a google search, we were lead to Taqueria Honorio. It's not a tourist kind of place and filled with locals. Is it the Ritz Carlton?...no, but I think some of the best food you'll ever eat is found at local hole in the wall places. We obviously ordered the cochinita pibil tacos and the meat literally melted in our mouths. I had never had tacos like that before and unfortunately I probably won't until I return to Tulum one day. Please, please go and try it out if you're in Tulum! #besttacosever

We came here late morning on a weekday, and it is such a popular place we had to wait in line! But the line moved very fast, and we only waited 5- 10 minutes. Everyone raves about this place and it is good, but maybe not as spectacular as they all say.. We ate at other local taco places and we thought the tacos there were good as well. If there was one negative, the tacos here seemed to be pretty greasy. But they had live music, the staff was efficient and friendly, and we liked the food and atmosphere. Overall great, and I hope to visit again next time I am in Tulum.

These tacos will put all other tacos to shame. Taqueria Honorio was highly recommended by several locals so you know it’s legit. This is a must visit when you come to Tulum. It is open air seating and while the tables seem like they are always full they were able to seat and serve our group of 7 quickly. When we were first seated they place 3 different salsas, limes and a pico de gallo on our table to dress our tacos. They have 6 different tacos to choose from and many of us went full send and ordered all 6. It’s doable if you have a big appetite. If we had to pick, the favorites were the Suckling Pig Taco, Turkey taco and Cochinita Pibil (a regional preparation of pork). Get the order of chips and guacamole too!

The real food. Don’t be fooled by the messy, soggy, quesadillas you are use to eat around in your country, this is the real thing. Truly delicious and perfect cooking. This is what make Mexican food delicious. The tacos are also delicious. This taqueria specialized in meat tacos and quesadillas, it’s a not to miss spot in Tulum. The tricky part, there’s no alcoholic beverages, bring your one beer, they don’t mind.

As the title says this place serves cheap and authentic Mexican food. It’s by far the best (and cheapest) place we’ve eaten during our 1 month trip of the Yucatan peninsula. A tip is to come early - we went for breakfast - to avoid the tourist crowds (and the waiting list for tables) as well as the street vendors trying to sell stuff.
