Dined solo during a recent visit to Tulum, and overall had a great experience. Make sure you MAKE A RESERVATION! I saw several people turned away. I ordered the tasting menu to try a little of everything, and highly recommend it. The atmosphere was very...dark, but the courses came quickly and felt very well thought out. Service was busy, but still attentive. I left feeling full and as though I had an insider taste of elevated local dishes.More

Went here on vacation, selected it based on other reviews and then read up on the restaurant, looked interesting. The atmosphere, food, wait staff, price, all great - highly recommend. Would go back, 100%. And just a side note, if you've not been to Tulum...and the beach area, don't expect to see it as part of your trip to this restaurant. There is one skinny dirt road running for a couple miles along the beach with all of the hotels, all contiguously connected, on one side and then on the jungle side, a few stores, restaurants, carved into the edge of the jungle. This restaurant is on the jungle side, you'd never even know you were close to the beach, you won't see it, hear it, smell it, etc.More

We fell in love with Kitchen Table Tulum 5 years ago and could not wait to come back. Our dinner last night was very special and we are so relieved they kept to their same brand of being people and food centric. Their devotion to...what they do comes to your table. The bread, Oaxacan cheese and mushroom quesadilla, sea bass were pretty special and creative. The atmosphere and service all adds to the beautiful experience. Thanks to Michelle and Eduardo for the special care.More

Limited Menu. Not the el best service (which is hard to find in Mexico). Would NOT return. We tried the Jungle Bread - (bread and butter which they sell as an elixser), the Ceviche (tiradito style, which was good), and a random black tortilla quesadill...with mushrooms (which was OK.) very limited wine selection (3 white and 3 red, all Mexican). Prices did not justify…More

This is just an FYI to wear mosquitoes repellent. Of course we could have gotten bit anytime during our time in Tulum. However, this specific night we were bit so much during our dinner there that I feel it was most likely the spot. We...did get Dengue Fever a few days later, and it’s the sickest we’ve ever been in a long time. Food was good, service was slow.More

On our last night in Mexico, we were really looking forward to a memorable dinner at Kitchen Table, having read all the recommendations. Unfortunately, it turned out being memorable for the wrong reasons. From the outset, the service was very slow and quite bad, which...really spoiled our experience. No napkins were provided until we had to ask for some, starters came 15 minutes apart, and we had to wait another 30 minutes for the main course, while watching dishes coming and going to other tables…Shame, because the food was quite good, although the menu is limited. Their jungle bread is memorable (quite rare to get bread for dinner in Mexico), the slow cooked beef is excellent. The manager did apologize and try to compensate for the slow service by offering us drinks and a dessert, a nice gesture, but our evening was spoiled nevertheless…. Too bad…More

Definitely a place for a lovely quiet dinner. When I’m Tulum I’m not into the club scene and loud music. Great menu selection, service and atmosphere. I would recommend & return.

Beautifull place but noisy place. The food was good but not that can explain the price. We choose the taste menu and were still hungry at the end. You can eat better an many other place in Tulum and pay half less. This is clearly...a tourist restaurant. Just to let know people that the restaurant do not have a car park and it is really difficult to get one near the place.More

Restaurant, ambiance and personnel very friendly. We arrived on a strange night as it was about to rain (it didn’t at the end). We had to wait a bit for our table as we wanted a table “protected properly” in case of rain. It was...our choice. Food was excellent. Not very spicy, not as you would expect in Mexico at least… but excellent, fresh, well prepared and tasted super good. Service was cute and messy. Would definitely go back. Price is ok compared to places around. Expensive for Mexico.More

We had a fabulous dinner at Kitchen Table! It was raining the day of our reservations and they even graciously accommodated our party earlier than our scheduled time. We sampled a lot of their small plates and split a few entrees—everything was great and cooked...well! We will definitely plan to come back if we are ever vacationing again! P.S. even adventuring to the bathrooms was cool there!More

I had an amazing dinner at this restaurant. Since the moment you get in, the staff is super friendly. There is an open kitchen and all set up is in the middle of palms, surrounded by nature so amazing placement. We had the opportunity to...meet the chef, Manuel Avila, who was super gentle, explained us about the different options served, etc. The food was exquisite, we ordered as starters the Ceviche and the fresh fish tostada. The Ceviche was really good but the fish tostada… AMAZING! Taste was extremely good. As main we ordered the brisket and it was like butter, very tender and with crazy taste, something which deserves to eat slowly appreciating each bite. As i said, super recommended visit if in Tulum.More
