Kitchen Table is a restaurant located on the jungle side of the Tulum - Boca Paila beach road (km mark 6). A wooden grill, a bar and ice boxes full of local fresh produce are the only ingredients we need to create delicious food and cocktails. We do it because we love it <3

I've visited Tulum 2 times, and have enjoyed dining at quite a few of the "top" rated restaurants (Hartwood, Arca, Gitano, Meze, Safari etc). Tonight I dined at Kitchen Table, and loved every minute of it. The little touches by the service team in conjunction with the wonderful meal and very fair pricing make this place truly worthy of a "top list" for the area. Upon checking in for my reservation I was greeted by name from multiple staff. The staff were incredibly attentive, offering recommendations (but not overbearing) and swooping in to replace a knife that had fallen to the ground within seconds of it landing. The conversation they offered me (as solo traveler) was warm and genuine, while still respecting all mask rules related to COVID and socially distancing. With a the shrimp main course, side dish, 2 cocktails and dessert my bill came to around 1,100 pesos --- considerably less than a similar meal at any of the other 'top' restaurants. This isn't 'cheap eats' by any means, but compared to other similar restaurants who use such fresh, thoughtful local ingredients and deliver great service, the value is INCREDIBLE. Definitely look forward to returning soon!!

I cannot say enough GREAT things about this place! I can not tell you which was better- the food, the drinks or the staff or the price! We literally had THE BEST dinner of our lives - granted we have been to Michelin Star restaurants in Iceland, NY & CA - for $140 including dessert and 6 drinks! The smell and ambiance top notch! The staff took us into the kitchen and allowed us to meet each head of each station and they greeted us with warmth & hospitality. Anyone who says this is too pricey has not eaten out. Love everything!!!!!!!

For some fine dining we decided to try the kitchen Table restaurant . The setting was dim lighting, with candlelight on the table. Chilled music, vocal, blues, and other styles, wafted through the air at a sound level that was conducive to easy chat. Hector, Bernise, and the bar crew were all very good and attentive. We could eye ball the chefs, in the kitchen hard at work, from where we sat. We ordered two starters, Jungle Sourdough with lima beans and a KT Sope. The mains were Butternut Calabaza and Vegetarian Wonton. Dessert was the Salted Caramel and crumbled nuts. All washed down with excellent vino blanco and Tinto and a couple of yummy Mezcalitas.  The natural flavour of the butternut squash was good and the veg wonton were well constructed and herbalised. Adding the caramelized onions and cheese to the Wonton dish really enhanced the flavours to the next level. Absolutely delicious. All in all, the meal was delectable and well worth the experience and money, especially at Tulum prices. The kitchen team gave a big whoop when we showed our appreciation to them

came here on a Saturday night because everyone was raving about it and we were very excited to try. the restaurant wasn't too busy at 7:30, but it definitely got busier. we made a reservation a few days beforehand. the service was good, our waiter was extremely accommodating and friendly helping us choose what to get. but the food just did not live up to expectations. we ordered the fish of the day (sea bass) which had absolutely no flavor. we also ordered the short ribs which were extremely fatty all over. we ordered the shrimp appetizer which also had a sauce that didn't taste like much. the drinks were fine, but we definitely had better drinks in Tulum as well.

I love great food and don't mind paying extra for it, and after all the glorious reviews I was excited to try it out. Unfortunately I wasn't very impressed with the food and cocktails, and I do feel it is unjustifiably overpriced (it has all the chef restaurant vibes but something just didn't click). Service was wonderful, and the atmosphere is romantic yet trendy (although I did feel an overuse of copal that blocked our nostrils and sense of smell half the night, to try and avoid that ask for a table farthest from the kitchen). The cocktails were better than most places but could have been bigger in size, there was mostly ice there (had the tiki, diablito, piccolins, mezcalita and anana - the latter being the best of the bunch). The cevice was too salty, the catch of the day was well prepared but ordinary, the squash wontons were a bit dry but I liked the filling and sauce. The special - seabass collar, could have had more intense seasoning. We had the three chocolate truffles for dessert, the original was the best one while I found the other two to be too sweet. All in all it's a nice dinner but won't be my first choice..

The best meal of our trip! We had been recommended to visit from a friend who’d previously been, she did say it was pricey but incredible. We read these reviews and it swayed us, we’re on holidays let’s just go. Sooooo glad we did. The food was incredible, cocktails delicious. We left very happy and full. The quality of food was spot on and watching them cook it right in front of you really cool. The restaurant it’s self is like you’re in the jungle. Even a trip to the bathroom is a beautiful adventure going up a tree house type structure. Can’t recommend enough, will def be back!

One of the best restaurants I've been to in the entire world. The atmosphere is nothing short of magical. Walking across the rocks through copal incense smoke, the entrance let's you know you are in for a unique and wonderful experience. I rarely do this, but my wife went to this restaurant two nights in a row. The menu is too creative not to explore fully and that meant we had to go at least two times. However, the octopus carnitas I had to have two nights in a row, but I did try new items the second night as well. The ceviche was creative, different, and incredibly fresh. I had a beef rib that was roasted for hours with local peppers and was the most tender and delicious I have ever had. The cocktail menu is just as creative but rooted in delicious classics that compliment every meal. the diablito was excellent and their version of the Negroni is worth getting at least twice as well. The staff is also worth mentioning. The waitstaff is incredibly knowledgable and the kitchen staff is spirited and talented. The occasional motivational chants the cooks give one another add a sense of fun and mystery to this jungle location. At the end of the night I caught the head cook overlooking the crowd with her arms crossed as if she had just defeated us all in a culinary battle of deliciousness. If part of your attraction to Tulum is the food scene, if you watch Bourdain and aspire to eat like Jim Harrison, then you have to eat at the Kitchen Table in Tulum.

Pros: Delicious food and drinks, cool jungle vibe Cons: Mosquitos, disorganized menu (you can’t tell what’s a small plate vs a full entree); and for some reason, our waiter just had to take orders via memory and ended up forgetting to put in some items resulting in some of our food coming out at different times. A simple notepad could’ve avoided this. Additionally, service was very slow and our waiter would disappear when we actually needed him which was odd considering it wasn’t busy. The service was a bit of a buzzkill considering it was also my birthday that evening and the last dinner of our trip. The icing on the cake was when our mediocre waiter not so subtly demanded a tip in “greenies” at the end (as written and highlighted on the bill with a smiley face), which we assumed meant USD. Tell your staff not to do this as it is off putting. We are generous tippers when the service is good. This place has a lot of potential and delicious food, but the staff could really use some training (or perhaps just our waiter).

Beautiful outdoor dining and outdoor kitchen. Angie, the chef, and her crew make incredible locally sourced but internationally flavored dished with an amazingly beautiful presentation! The trees from the jungle have been carefully incorporated into the design of both kitchen and restaurant. They are designed around being as renewable as possible and respectful of the environment they inhabit. It was so good we went two nights in a row! Also, they hand roast the coffee right there before brewing it, cup by cup; a must try!

This estaurant is situated in the jungle they call "la zona hotelera" and has no parking facilities. It is in the open air, with lots of green, trees and plants. It is nicly decorated. As it is not connected to the grid, it gets its electricity from a humming generator next to the restaurant. There is a high degree of show elements such as yelling by the kitchen staff at receiving every new food order. We found the service slightly exaggerated and the food far from spectacular: small portions and expensive (1 taco 163 MXN, small piece of Robalo fish 680 MXN), bland to good, but no more than that. The choice of beers: 2 (Victoria and Corona at 83 MXN), the choice of wines: 4 (2 white & 2 red). Cocktails at 380 MXN. We chose a red wine of uncertain origin/quality at 1,560 MXN(!). We nearly choked in the clouds of myrrh smoke that a walking around waiter was spreading from two swinging buckets at short intervals (I suppose to keep the mosquitoes away). Its smell mingled with the taste of the fish! Go there if you want to be flattered silly by the staff and pay spectacular prices for unspectacular food. We will definitely not return there.

We did not book a table, as the website said they do not accept reservations; on arrival it turned out that they now do, and we were made to wait - fortunately not too long. The restaurant is on the 'jungle' side of the coast road, with an open plan structure. Mosquito repellent braziers spew smoke around, and from time to time someone carries one around the tables like incense. Ceviche starter was very nice; prawn and salad starters ok. Short rib main was tasty, pork belly tasty but quite small, butternut squash main tasted very strange - and the smoke mingling with food flavours didn't help. By this time we had had enough and did not stay for dessert. Fortunately we had brought a pile of cash to pay the not inconsiderable bill.

I suppose if you are a "foodie" you might like this place, but I was actually hungry. The food was delicious but very expensive even for tulum and we ended up going to buy snacks after because we were still hungry after our meal. That said, it was delicious but I would need One appetizer and an order of ribs was small enough that I left hungry.

I had my big 50th bday here with my husband and our friend. Everything about the evening was perfect. We loved the vibe, ambience, decor, staff, food and drinks. From start to finish the staff was incredibly attentive, and even sang a non-cheesy happy bday to me with a complimentary delicious bday dessert!! All the food was made so fresh in an open concept kitchen, every bite was heavenly. The walk to the bathroom was a fun adventure with funny signs along the way, and the entire place was outdoors. Jungle vibes. Highly recommend it. You need to book reservations one week in advance. Will definitely go again! I'd add photos but I only took videos sorry.

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. Great experience. Would recommend. PROS: Food was excellent Cocktails even better. I had a drink called a Pina Pop. It was so refreshing & delicious (& a bit spicy) that I bought all the ingredients when I got in an attempt to copy it. Despite being a former bartender, I was unable to do so! :( Great space - restaurant was set into the jungle (it’s on the jungle, not beach side). Open kitchen, so you could see the chefs at work. Friendly staff CONS: No fans in the restaurant, so very hot (even at night) if you go during a hot time of year. They don’t answer their phones and there’s no email address, so making a reservation was somewhat difficult. You can book on their website, but you don’t get a confirmation (even though the site says you will) until the day before your reservation. So you aren’t sure if your reservation booking went through.
