Thank you very much for visiting our restaurant and writing this nice review. We appreciate a lot and hope to see you soon. We always try to do the best and improve the service every day. Have a nice vacation in Tulum!
We were the only ones in the restaurant and it took us 50 minutes to get our food. Pricing was equivalent to that of major US cities and portions were dismal at best. I might go here again if nothing else we’re open and I...didn’t mind waiting the afternoon for my food. Cheers!More
The restaurant have a small area right by the road and also a bigger table setting closer to the beach. The floors are sand and the servers are barefoot. It is a nice restaurant which serve food all day and until about 11 p.m.
We...ate here a few times during our stay, since we lived in the Punta Piedra Beach Posada (the restaurant was right outside our door). The food is nice, but the drinks a little bland.More
We love MiVida! Each day we have the most delicious lunches there. The waiters are gracious, the food delicious and the owners, the Alexs and Luca (although we miss Luca this year as he is still in Italy!) are lovely people.
This is a tiny little place with very friendly staff. They were attentive considering the distance they need to cover between the kitchen and "beach". The prices are higher than the rest of the area but rather average for Tulum. The tapas are excellent. You...can listen to the waves, gaze at the stars, dig your toes in the sand while munching on some good food. I think for all that the prices are justified.
When no wind, make sure to bring some bug repellent.More
We ate here as was tempted by the welcoming owner? on the front and a great looking menu. We were not disappointed. It has a great set up out the back with tables on the sand by the sea. Very romantic. We had a few...of the tapas and they were very tasty, especially the seafood and the meat balls. Deep fried banana for desert was great. Service from start to finish was good. It's expensive relatively for mexico standards but compared to norm for the UK it's averagely priced. Would recommend!More
The construction and rearranging happening in the front was the first clue. The music was the second (weird lounge singer covers of pop songs). We should have left at that point, but the other reviews convinced us to press on. We sat in the beachfront...dining area, which was quaint and lovely. But then our drinks were awful - maybe a language barrier on the 2 vodka sodas, but there's no excuse for the bland mojito and awful, chemical-tasting margarita. Guacamole was super salty and had an off taste that was acidic (and not in a lime juice kind of way.) The burrata dish was actually quite good, but the fish tacos were the worst we ate on our 6 day visit to Tulum. Like we-can-find-much-better-in-the-northeast-U.S. bad. The octopus and potatoes were OK flavor-wise, but the octopus was WAY over cooked. The salmon tartar was fishy and disappointing.
The short of it... if you screw up guacamole and margaritas in Mexico - WTF?More
Fantastic food, great service and all staff in general, beautiful beach with turquoise water, the unique design of the place... You cannot come to Tulum and miss Mivida! Every Meal Is (truly) An Explosion Of Flavors, prepared with love and attention to detail and staff...is so friendly you simply keep coming back for more. This was my fourth visit to Tulum and I swear this place is getting better every time! I can't wait to go back again.More
