We are a restaurant catering to conscious eaters living in and visiting the Tulum area. We have a vegan menu with certain vegetarian options, which we can adapt to suit your tastes. The atmosphere at La Hoja Verde is relaxed and welcoming, our staff are super friendly and always at your service. We offer travel advice and local tips to friends from all over the world and above all give like-minded people the option of healthy, fresh, delicious food at a reasonable price. This was an awesome place.... we brought a vegan friend here for his birthday and everybody enjoyed it. The meat tasted like real meat to the carnivores of our group and everyone else thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommend

We went here for dinner and loved it. Food was delicious, ingredients well chosen, so they matched in flavors really well, and was well seasoned. Portions are normal sized, so it was not too little and not too much. Despite not being vegan nor vegetarian, we really liked the food here and would definitely come again.

Big menu with a large variety of dishes! We ended up having the smoked hummus and breaded cauliflower for starter and pizza and risotto for mains. The risotto was bland but everything else really delicious.
Big portions- the cauliflower starter was a whole head. Lovely place just on the sidewalk in Tulum center. Good price and everything can be made vegan:)

Worst place to eat in tulum. The service is poor. We ordered 2 vegan taco plates and they had no flavour to it. The guacamole on one plate was old (yellowish/black) . I asked for some tamarind sauce for cauliflower tacos the second plate (no guacamole on it) as they were dry, they told me 30 pesos for a teaspoon of sauce. I asked the manager/owner and he confirmed it. It’s a rip off place. The vegan tacos on the food trucks one block away is 20 pesos each and super delicious. The have unlimited fixings and don’t charge 30 pesos per fixing like this restaurant. Also, we been to many local restaurants for tacos in Mexico and this place is the only one who charge 30 pesos per sauce for unflavoured food. Also, we ordered a smoothie which was awful in taste with no real fruits taste.

We ordered 2 different types of smoothie, one was with mango, strawberry and almond milk. But it literally had no taste at all which was shocking, the other one was with berries and other types of fruits and it was the same with absolutely no taste. I’ve had thousands of smoothies without sugar that had lots of taste, but these smoothies was shockingly tasteless..
We ordered pizza, bbq burger, and mushrooms as appetizers.
The pizza was of poor quality, neither was it healthy or tasty. We ordered the four quiesos pizza.
The bbq burger had no taste at all, the sauces that came along was horrible. The white sauce no flavor at all and the bbq sauce was very sour and not close to a bbq sauce.
The mushroom appetizer was literally 4-5 pieces of mushrooms, with white vegan sauce and barely had flavor.
And the service, they seemed to be very busy even tho they didn’t have a full place. They even forgot our order several times. We also had to wait for a while to pay the bill.
All in all it was very disappointing.. we were looking forward to have the tastiest smoothies and eat delicious vegetarian food. But it didn’t happen unfortunately.
Or else the place was beautiful and earthy.

Worst purchase of my life was the quino risotto dish.
Bland quinoa with three leafs of spinach and champion mushrooms. I think a baby cooked it and a child decided to put it on the menu.
-Staff was nice
-cauliflower dish was good and charcoal sandwich was interesting
-will not be coming back

I love Healthy Food especially food that tastes good and this is a great place to get it. My husband and I were passing through Tulum going to Cancun when our regular restaurant was closed due to Cornonavirus. Great deal! We found another favorite. We normally try to eat Vegan or Vegetarian anyway and this is a place with SO MANY OPTIONS! I had the lentil burger with the charcoal bun and my husband had a salad that was EXCELLENT. The small spiced potatoes that came with my burger were a hit also. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Both Spanish and English, food came out less than 10 minutes after we ordered and the restaurant was packed!
Each of our food was amazing, flavorful, fresh and detailed in presentation.
The waiters were attentive and friendly, service completely exceptional.
The music was upbeat and fun, there was even a local trumpet player who serenaded us and was extremely talented.
All over beautiful evening spent here, and we will be back!

I am not Vegan... and frankly love meat. However I also like to live and eat healthy. The non-meat hamburger I had there last night was outstanding. I absolutely loved it and after eating it I didn’t feel lethargic and tired the way I always do after eating a meat burger. The food was outstanding the service is great and I will definitely be back I highly recommend La Hoja Tulum to anyone! Bon appétit:)

I enjoyed a smoothie at La Hoja Verde when visiting Tulum in March 2020. La Hoja Verde is a cute restaurant offering a variety of healthy options including plenty of vegan/vegetarian/gluten free options labelled on the menu (fresh juices, smoothies, tacos, curry, pizza, breakfast, buddha salad bowls and more). I ordered the Tio Bob smoothie which had cacao, banana, coconut milk, and hemp protein. It was refreshing and delicious!
The restaurant is located directly off the main avenue through Tulum town among the hustle and bustle. There is a small patio on the front of the restaurant and indoor dining as well.

We went in for a snack but couldnt stop ordering. The food was so tasty, balanced for protein, nutritious and well priced. We cancelled our hotel’s restaurant reservation even though it was all inclusive, and chose to pay for this meal. Excellent tacos. Choice of food is great. Thank you for feeding us so well and making us feel at home. Only problem was the stray dogs who would be in and out of our tables.

Best tacos ever!!!
Go to this wonderful, typical, laid-back but yet charming Restaurant. You won’t regret it!
The food is all vegan but you don’t miss any of the flavors. On the contrary: the tacoso are an explosion of Mexican flavors! Prices are very good, it’s cheap but the quality of the food is amazing.
It’s really a place to visit when in Tulum! Thank me later ;)

La Hoja Verde is a must stop for anyone visiting Tulum, whether you're vegan or not - but absolutely don't sleep on La Hoja Verde if you're veggie!
The most adorable atmosphere and the kindest staff. The owner of the restaurant took time out of his night to tell us all about the restaurant and his inspirations, and it was so special. There is so much love and thoughtfulness behind La Hoja Verde and the food that their team prepares & serves.
We were awestruck by the huge menu offering - there are so many amazing options that it's really difficult to decide. My husband is not vegan and absolutely LOVED everything that he ate here.
Some of our favorites were the Sopes De Maiz Y Pepita De Calabaza and the Taco Trio (these taste SO authentic!!!), but literally everything was outstanding.
We weren't able to head back for breakfast, but were disappointed that we missed eating here a second time - it's at the top of our list when we return.

The perfect place to eat. Amazing menu full of healthy delicious meals and treats. I had the raw Snickers made of peanuts and dates. The best raw food desert I've had in a long time.

My partner and I have been coming to La Hoja Verde for the past 5+ years and have never been disappointed!! The food, the ambiance and the attention is always 10/10. The waiter Mario is the sweetest man, always has a smile on his face. Definitely recommend for vegans & non vegans as well.
