So, we had watched a YouTuber foodie visit this place, and decided to give it a try. It took some doing to find, as the road is a private road past some very expensive villas and their private security. However, with a smile and a..."vamos a Chamicos", they'll open the gate and let you pass. Makes you feel quite special. Anyway, at the end of this long questionably kept up road, there is this outdoor space called Chamicos. What fun! Each eating 'area' comes with a hammock, perfect for snoozing off that post-lunch sleepiness. We had the house ceviche, and it was great! The only downside is that it's a step up from camping, meaning, we had some serious questions about how they maintain their cleanliness, particularly around the toilets. Surely with all those expensive villas next door, a sewer and water line could be extended out? Anyway, if you're up for adventure, this place is great!More

Best casual beach shack for a fresh catch of the day ceviche and fried fish. You sit on plastic chairs on the beach and everything is prepared fresh from what the fisherman bring that day. They have hammocks to relax in after food.

If you love wild and raw places, don’t miss this beach & restaurant. We spent there the morning and lunch time was super nice with that view. I had ceviche and my boyfriend chicken.. good value for money. I really loved the wild and genuine...atmosphere, staff was nice and the best nachos I ever had in Yucatan.More

Sad state of disrepair, lounge chairs are mostly broken or badly stained. Very busy place with steady stream of snorkelling tours. Only one narrow path into ocean otherwise very rocky and sharp corral beach, not nice to walk on without protective footwear. After four attempts...and two hours,to order lunch we got enough overcooked deep fried fish for 6 but only enough beans and rice for two. Could be a nice day if they stepped up their standards, but then I guess that wouldn't be Tulum or Mexico then.More

Came early to go snorkeling, returned to shore to eat lunch, and went back out again. The fried fish was awesome.

This place is simply amazing. You find a table on the beach, under tree canopy, overlooking the beach and see. The ceviche is simply delicious Fish grilled was looking extremely good This is luxury as you can’t find food like this so authentic in an...unspoiled placeMore

Agree with “candostill” review. We ordered grilled Fish Tacos, Fried fish, and ceviche. The ceviche was average compared to area. The Tacos served like a fish plate with 2/3 tortillas on the side. The beans and slaw were mediocre. However the grilled fish was tasty....The fried fish is a whole fish freshly prepared; it was tasty, but a bit messy to access the fish because of all the bones and skin. Chips and salsa were average at best. While the fish seemed fresh and well prepared,Overall the food and service average, but with cold beer and margaritas and a very lovely beach setting we were happy and satisfied. The bay had many snorkelers and the beach nice, so it may be a great place for that and some fresh fish and drinks. We thought the prices were a bit high for what we received- but the owners are setting up shop right on the beach.More

Awesome food. A bit pricey, but the location makes it totally worth it. Children playground and restaurant all by the beach

Being a great location on the beach is the best I can say. It's more of a convenience to a campground that's next door than it is a full service restaurant. A good place for a beer and a snack. First of all they close...early. They said they close at 5pm, but were closing as we left at 4pm. Someone came up and asked to be served and were turned away???? Service was almost non existent. Had to track down someone to get a second beer. Wanted to order food but couldn't get anyone to take the order and there were only a few people at tables.More

It’s a shame this is listed only under restaurants, as it is a great destination for a day at the beach even if you don’t eat there. We spent two days of our vacation at this beach, which was absolutely perfect for young children learning...to snorkel. The bay is very shallow and the water is warm. There is a sandy path through the water; if you follow this you can walk out to the reef without needing water shoes (and also you will avoid damaging any coral). We saw many different types of colorful fish, as well as a large flounder and a manta ray. A few chairs and lounges are available at no charge. There are toilet facilities and an outdoor fresh water shower. Nothing is fancy, everything is a bit rustic. The kids enjoyed the small playground. There is no charge to use the beach or any of the facilities, as long as you make a purchase at the restaurant. There didn’t seem to be any set minimum. One day one member of our party bought an alcoholic drink and the next day my husband bought a beer and a chicken dinner; both of those purchases were adequate for them not to charge our group of 9 adults and 4 children.More
