Chambao exceeded all expectations, delivering one of the best meals we’ve ever had! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm hospitality, and our servers, Oscar and José, provided impeccable service—attentive, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about the experience.
We started with the amazing Ibérico jamón, which was perfectly sliced and packed with rich, savory flavors. The bread selection was absolutely divine—pumpernickel, brioche with caramelized onions, and a puff pastry with goat cheese and tomato, each bite more indulgent than the last.
For the main course, two of us had the 28-day aged ribeye was cooked to perfection, full of depth and melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. The other person had the Kobe steak. The roasted mushrooms, Chambao potatoes, and spinach parmigiana were the ideal accompaniments, adding layers of flavor that made every bite unforgettable.
This was hands down the best meal ever, and we can’t wait to come back. If you're looking for an exceptional dining experience, Chambao is the place to be!

The service was the best we’ve experienced in a very long time. The staff was so attentive and on top of things. I also have a severe food allergy and they made sure I was able to enjoy my meal and eat the food of my choice. The food was top notch. And there was live music and entertainment. Highly highly recommend!

Genre and Steven were the best servers I have had in all of Tulum! Me and my husband were getting married in Tulum and have been here for a week so we already visited 5 restaurants for dinner with big groups and family. Genre and Steven were attentive to all of our requests, extremely personable, and made sure we were happy throughout the entire experience. I would recommend this restaurant to all of my friends given the 10/10 service - we loved them! <3

The restaurant is visually welcoming and beautifully raised.
We served Polo and Angel, who also advised us well. Unfortunately, we found that the waiters were too obtrusive and were constantly cleaning up something at the table. We had the fillet, which was good but nothing special for 66€, about 280g. In addition, the FCK Burger, which unfortunately did not taste good to us, the meat was too dry and the rest had unfortunately just tasted boring.
The side dishes were good. However, we would not recommend the restaurant and would not come back either as it is overpriced and did not match the quality we expected. In addition, you could not select the tip, but a flat rate of 15% was set and you could not change it to 10% after discussion.

We went as a recommendation from our hotel and the service and food was terrible. We were celebrating our kid’s birthday. We asked the waiter for recommendations (riosotto dish ) and he would say his opinion and end with if you don’t like it we can’t take it off. So we ordered the f burger and fries - the burger was awful grainy salty and undercooked. The fries were not cooked. My daughter ordered a glass of wine and I asked for the same. I was given a glass of wine totally different and triple the cost of the one my daughter ordered. He acted as if he didn’t understand me. We finally asked for manger to have the burger and fries removed and the manager didn’t even apologize, just wanted a reason to tell the chef. We were so disappointed. They did try to make it up by giving birthday cake to the birthday girls. But we just paid and left

Decor, music ambiance very nice disappointed & surprised by bad food and customer service . So many more better places to go in tulum.

1 STAR. Our steak was cooked badly, not just once, but twice. They used the same undercooked steak instead of cooking a new cut of meat, and then pretended that we had a new steak cooked. We knew this because there was piece missing from the “new steak” order, and you could clearly see where we had cut into once of the pieces of steak to check the temperature/cooking of the meat. They also forgot our drinks not once, but twice.
The service started as good. Then a giant group sat next to us. Which then the servers had little to no attention given to us and requests throughout our dinner were ignored/forgotten. We also waited 30 MINUTES just to get our check at the end. We had to ask 2 different servers to grab our check.
The main issue is out steak came out raw (inside was COLD and purple). This is NOT medium. This is raw. I politely expressed my concern and they saw a new cut would be made. Instead, they just seared the raw sides and brought it back to our table within 5 minutes…… this was obviously the same disgusting steak….. they played it off as a new cut of meat. And guess what….. it was still purple in the center when I cut into the meat. I complained again and asked to just take away the entire steak.
At the end, they still charged us full price for the terribly cooked “ribeye”. As an experienced traveler, avoid this place. They do not offer proper service, and they don’t know who to properly cook meat. The manager didn’t do anything after we sent the steak back twice. Extremely disappointing.

the service was amazing, but i was insanely disappointed after ordering a wagyu and a rib eye only for both steaks to come cold. waiters brought out a hot plate for me to grill it to my liking. the rib eye was so fatty my partner could only eat half of it … bill came out to $600usd for 3 sides, 2 cocktails, 2 waters, a salad, and 2 steaks.

Too expensive for what they serve. Our waiter recommaneded to take the burger medium-well when we asked for medium rare, which can only be justified by a low food safety. So we agreed to the medium -well an as it can it was closer to well done and as result dry.
The brisket was okay but had no sides included so we ordered the truffel grana padano potatoe mille feuille. As it arrived it was covered under a blanket of bechamel sauce without any flavour. The only flavour found was a simple emmental cheese flavour.
So would not recommand the chamboa potatoes.
At the payment the tips were directly included without any hesitation from the waiter, as he circled the total amount including the tips at 15%. Even though on their menu it is mentioned that the tips are not mandatory.
Only now we noticed that the sides of the buger were not included....
Last words, for other tourists looking for a nice place, DO NOT visit unless you are willing to spend alot for a below average meal. One of the tourist-traps in Tulum.
In my opinion a lot of reviews are fake or bought or maybe from the staff it self.

The restaurant is beautiful, and the level of service is really good. All details on decoration are superb and the staff is prepared to serve you amazingly well. We had the short rib, papas chambao, and mushrooms which served 3 people very well. So why 3 stars only? First, The vallet guy misinformed us that the service was paid separately, while the waiter informed Bunche moment that we were paying the bill that parking was included and we could tip the vallet guy the amount we considered fair (i.e., the vallet guy tried to price his tip beforehand…). Second, the music is excessively loud. It’s definitely NOT background music, making it hard to talk to people on your table. Third, USD 240.00 (tip included, plus one drink and one beer) is not a fair price for the menu described above. It’s a nice place to go, but prepare your wallet and your ears!

Stunning restaurant with top quality service and the food to match. Large menu selection of quality meats and seafood. We enjoyed the gourmet house bread and butter selection while awaiting our meals which was delicious. We shared the mains with the highlights being the truffle mashed potato, lamb rack and black cod. Planning our return on another night for dessert as the options look amazing but we couldn't fit it in!

My wife and I went here for dinner. The atmosphere is very lively and fun. The service is impeccable. By far the best service we have received in Tulum. The server Jacob and his partner Luis were extremely attentive, and helpful when ensuring we would like the menu items we chose. Jacob was great at accommodating my wife’s gluten allergy and offering her alternatives. He was very knowledge about all menu items that contain gluten or that could even be contaminated with gluten. We ordered the crab cake, which was delicious. The steak (dry aged New York strip) was cooked perfectly per Jacob’s recommendation. The salmon was seasoned very well and cooked perfectly. The cheesy potatoes are CHEESY. The music was great, a little loud to have typical table conversation but still enjoyable. We would have loved to see more fire shows as that was a main factor in us choosing Chamboa as our last dinner in Tulum. Overall, it was a great experience and highly recommended when visiting Tulum.

When you arrive, everyone is very friendly and offers you the best attention, especially Jesus and Landy, who make your experience in the place the most pleasant, not to mention that the place is very nice. They offer you freshly made bread rolls along with house sauces, the main dishes are delicious and well served, not to mention that out of courtesy of the house they gave us a cake for our anniversary.
I would definitely return with enthusiasm to the place.

Steven and Jacob were beyond amazing.10/10 service!!! They need a RAISE! They tailored our experience to our needs from explaining the menu, helping choose foods that fit our tastes, bringing chargers when our phone died, and so on. A luxury and friendly experience in tulum with great food and music that makes you want to just dance!! I highly recommend.

Thank you all very much, in general you are professionals. I visited Chambao last night with my wife to celebrate my birthday. And honestly it never leaves me. Made to feel so special, I recommend you try the tomahok, it is something exquisite, very soft, as well as the macanchese and the exquisite frangelico flan, and obviously many thanks to JR and Frank, we received the best recommendations and attention, thank you very much.

We had an excellent experience. The restaurant was beautiful. The food was top-notch and our service was above and beyond, we had steak, lobster and risotto. Everything was made made to perfection. The Mezcal and passionfruit cocktails were also extremely good very appreciative of our waiter Polo And Steven the service was excellent and made our experience extremely fun and informative
