Lovely dinner and good service. Very kind staff. Good prices compared to Tulum Beach area! A restaurant you need to visit whenever you go to Tulum.

We have had a number of meals at El Asadero and the standard has always been excellent. However, tonight my son and I ordered two New York steaks rare. His was perfectly cooked but mine was medium to well done. I mentioned this to the...waiter who took my steak away and then bizarrely asked if he could also take my sons steak away so that the chef could compare them. Both were brought back and I was told that there was no difference which was absolute nonsense. I have no problem if a mistake happens, what I do have a problem with is when a clear and obvious mistake is made and rather than admit to that mistake the person responsible tries to pretend that I am the one at fault. It's just not acceptable and unfortunately leads to an unnecessary poor review like this one.More

My daughter and I visited this restaurant two times. We ordered beef fajitas and margaritas. The food is outstanding and the drinks excellent. We arrived by car and found parking on the same street. One evening they had live music which was a nice surprise....The quality of the food is top notch. This restaurant is a great choice in Tulum.More

The entire experience was superb. We ordered a platter for 4 people and every bit of it was amazing whether it be steak, seafood, cheese (omg, the cheese!) and veggies! The tuna on the menu was fabulous and there was an extensive selection of cocktails!

Great Mexican Fare Enjoyed helpful, very knowledgeable staff. Menu with both seafood & vegan options. We opted to try grilled octopus with beautiful presentation. The nopal salad was perfect. If course the grilled steak was perfect. The location is on side street which made our...dinner more enjoyable. Will definitely return soon to share with friends.More

Actually, the service got off to kind of a slow, shaky start but picked up. And the food was outstanding. My grilled tuna came with a pool of orange glaze, reested on wonderful mashed potatos and was accompanied by four stalks of tempura asparagus. My...companion had fajitas de arrachera (something like flanks or skirt steak) and was equally pleased. She said her margarita was the best she'd had in our three weeks in Mexico. Very attractive space.More

We stopped by for dinner looking for something off the beach road. The beach road can cost you an arm and a leg if you decide to eat out every night. Everything at the restaurant is priced a lot cheaper and the ingredients are as...good or better. We had the surf n turf with the NY strip and everything was cooked to perfection. Will return when in Tulum again.More

We have been eating at el Asadero since the start, and com back every year. Good food and an extremely nice owner (Marko). It started out very simple, just a bbq in a carport. Now it has a decent menu and five times as many...tables, but the quality is still excellent.More

We ate here our first night. It was my first time out of the country since COVID. I was impressed they had a sink up front and required us to wash our hands before we sat down. They also sanitized the table before we sat...down. The restaurant is located on a side street off the main drag. We sat outside directly across from a lovely decorated median that made you forget where you are - see attached photo. Street musicians also came by and played a few songs before moving along and being replaced by new ones. So nice! I enjoyed all the different sauces served with the free chips. My hamburger and fries was very good! OH! And I loved the special touch of a small coat rack for my purse!More
