Fantastic drinks overlooking the access road with great music, high energy (wish we were dancing), good food and good service.

The hotel we stayed at kept pushing this restaurant so we tried it one night. The restaurant is along the road and there is no breeze and no views. The service was very slow and the food was not so great. With so many other restaurants with fresh seafood and on the beach, I wish we had tried somewhere else.... More

The food is very delicious and staff very friendly , to be honest from European 2 coronas beer 1 Hamburger and one plate of shrimps 45 euro is a bit to much . Second problem is the invoice because you can pay in pesos dollar or euro ....the difference is the change rate of 25% more if you pay in... More

As most of Tulum is on the sunrise side of things, Mateo's is a fab choice if you want to watch the sun go down. They have a high deck, which, to be honest felt a little rickety - there were probably about 30 people up there and I wouldn't have liked any more than that - and you certainly... More

We came here for breakfast and what a find! Huge tasty portions! The restsurant has a terrace which would have brilliant on an evening to watch the sunset. Its rustic in design with welcoming staff!

They claim to have the best fish tacos on Earth, so I ordered some. They were pretty good, possibly the best I have had. I don't have it enough to say that it is absolutely the best, but it was quite good and I can definitely recommend it.

Nice atmosphere, but let down by quality of food - priced far too high in comparison to competition, such as kitchen table which we had the night before; superiors quality and service for a very similar price.

This place is alive during the evening. Start with one of their cocktails. They have some cool variations on mojitos and margaritas. You can get all kinds of Mexican food but also more western oriented dishes. They also have live music.

Perfect lunch stop while in Tulum. Tasty pulled chicken tacos & Baja fish tacos. Cute atmosphere with multiple decks makes Mateos a fun cocktail & lunch place.
