I came here with my family for lunch after our visit to the ruins.. I must say that the food was AMAZING! we order a very fresh fish cooked with plantain leaf! highly recommended! Besides that the service was great and the environment is very cool and chill!

Mateo's was a great place for Saturday night dinner. Good food, excellent service, reasonable prices. The vibe is fun. The owner is involved in the community and wants to provide guests with a memorable dining/drink experience.

Went there for breakfast. Good menu. We where the only ones there so they got to us right away. The food we ordered was okay, not to bad. But we did not get the smoothie, and they didnt ask us if the food was good or if everything was okay during the meal. If they did we could've told them... More

There are really good drinks on the main stretch of the hotel area in Tulum. Mateo's missed the mark on drinks but the ceviche was fresh and the chips and guac/salsa were good. I wouldn't go back if I am in Tulum again.

This restaurant has a great location, layout and activities to enjoy during your visit. It even has a level with various hammocks. Service was slow due to short staff apparently. The waiter was kind but overwhelmed. We had to call him over 3 times after waiting to place our order. The worst part is actually the mosquito situation. I laid... More

My friend and I visited Mateo's 3 times during our visit in Tulum mostly because of the upbeat and great atmosphere. The tacos here are nice but the burgers are not, really lacked flavour. The smoothies here are really nice, I recommend getting a banana, strawberry and coconut milk one, was delicious! you get nachos and salsa as a complimentary... More

I've eaten here a few times and it's always good. A little pricey- but I hear you can watch games on tv (since n hotels in Tulum have tvs that I know). It's right in the center of the little beach part of town so it's cool to walk around too. The fajitas are my favorite!

What a fun, delicious stop! We came after a long, hot day in Coba and every single member of the family had a great time and left with full bellies. The mango margarita was fabulous - especially the tajin/lime chili rim! Loved every bit of food we ate. Enjoyed watching the iguana eat habanero peppers on the sidewalk as a... More

Smoothies were good. Coconut shrimp was also good. Down on the very bottom of the menu it says cash or American Express only. I didn't see that in the dark. We sat upstairs, very uncomfortable seating. Not impressed.
