My husband, 2yo, and I went to Zamas for breakfast one morning due to its convenient location to the dive shop. My husband was leaving for a dive in about 30 minutes and asked the host if he could order a quick breakfast and be on his way. The host said, "Yes of course!" 30 minutes later the only thing... Not much to say about this place other than it's on the beach and has a spectacular view. The food is adequate but nothing that will knock your socks off. Kind of like the Applebee's of Tulum. I had the chicken enchiladas and my daughter had the pepperoni pizza. There was nothing wrong with either dish, just no "wow" factor.... More

We went here twice, once for a drink on the rear terrace - a great place for watching pelicans, and once for a wonderful breakfast when we had the famous 'huevos rancheros'. Both times the service was friendly. Prices are very reasonable, given it is a very well known spot and recommended in all the travel books and magazines! But... More

My husband and I popped in for lunch and were sooo pleased that we did. It’s an adorable restaurant with a laid back beach vibe. Located right on the beach, it offers gorgeous views of the blue waters. The colorful tables and chairs are absolutely charming. The food is local and delicious. I typically wouldn’t recommend french fries, but you... More

Aaaah, take me back to Zamas! Colorful tables on the shore, delish food, quaint small setting, oldies on the radio, foosball table inside for the kids. It was a win for our family!

Went to Zamas for dinner and breakfast. I found this restaurant through NY Times and was interested in going because it's one of the oldest establishments in Tulum. For dinner, I had the jicama shrimp tacos and they were okay. My drink, the watermelon mint juice with honey was amazing and super fresh. Dinner was overlooking a pitch black ocean... More

We love that place and we come back every year when we go on vacation to Tulum. People are nice, the place has such a nice atmosphere, the scenery is beautiful. The food is such good quality at fair prices. There is a DJ on Mondays (JC) and the music she plays is great so it makes the moment even... More

We stayed at Zamas about 7 years ago and really loved the quaint accommodations and the restaurant. We went back recently, stayed at another hotel but came to eat at Zamas most nights. The food was outstanding, as good as we remembered from our first trip. The fish was fresh and abundant, the local ingredients were obvious, everything was very... More

Which is exactly how we felt. It's unfortunate, because Zamas has so much going for it. My grilled vegetable tacos were great, like none I'd ever had. I also tried a bite of the grouper sandwich. It was so delicious I thought, "When can we come back so I can order that?". The chef clearly knows what she's doing in... More

I loved Zamas! We had a breakfast and a dinner there. Great food and the view is fantastic! Friendly staff and the brightly colored chairs and tables make for great photos.
