We stayed across the street at Nueva Vida de Ramiro, which includes a breakfast from Casa Banana for hotel guests. The breakfast included your choice of scrambled eggs, beans, a huge fruit plate, a loaf of bread with butter and apricot jam, banana bread, orange juice, and coffee or tea. Everything was delicious but the bread and jam was the... More

Drinks are super delicious and the food should not be missed. We had a couple of entrees and a pizza with drinks in the afternoon.

Dropped in on our first night after zero research just needing somewhere to eat fast. Turned out to be a pretty lucky stop. Had some tasty appetizers on a tasting plate. The fried cheese was awesome! My husband ended up with a steak which was quite good but my arrougala salad was a little peppery. I guess I've always eaten... More

We went to Casa Banana first time in 2013. We went back twice this year during our yearly vacation in Tulum and we were VERY happy! The place is in the "jungle" side of the road and it is very charming. Service was GREAT the first time, our waiter Alessandro was charming and very helpful. The second time we had... More

Visited Casa Banana for an early dinner, whole fish and skewers between us really tasty, odd accompaniment of cauliflower cheese, but it was good. Cooking mainly on an open fire. Cash restaurant and no reservations so get there early to avoid disappointment/queuing.

This place is worth standing in line or having a pre-dinner drink (they don't take reservations) for the excellent food and service. Our whole family has been at this restaurant three times and we have never been disappointed. Every entrée, main course and dessert we have tried has been a treat. Prices are not cheap but you get what you... More

We stopped in for lunch after reading several positive reviews about this restaurant. At first the waiter was really friendly, but then he wrote down our order wrong. When he brought the food to the table, the children pointed out his mistake. He tried repeatedly to get them to eat what he brought instead of what they ordered. Finally after... More

Great food at a reasonable price. The service was excellent and responsive. My daughter had a steak (their specialty) but they had plenty of non-beef options for me. However, bring cash (they don't take cards) and wear plenty of bug spray.

This place has great reviews. My friend was allergic to something which is ironic as I'm usually the weakest link. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, and hers. Great place if you are sick of the traditional Mexican delicacies... e.g. More refried beans....

Description
Located across the beach road from Nueva Vida is Casa Banana Steakhouse, a Tulum dining hot spot. Serving up classic Argentinian style cuisine, the food here is simple, fresh and delicious. For breakfast each morning enjoy made to order coffee, homemade banana bread, and pineapple coconut jam. At night the restraurant gets busy and comes alive with it’s outdoor grill, known as “parilla,” and dishes are cooked over the open fire for all to see. The menu favorites include grilled to perfection steak, fresh caught fish, impressive salads, and a thoughtfully selected wine list. Don’t forget to try the handshaken icy margaritas, too.Open daily breakfast, lunch and dinner. We provide beach service for all guests of the hotel.
