The place was packed while the rest of the resort strip had gone quiet on Monday night. This is a cash only establishment. Two salads, the tasting app (for 2) and two delicious cocktails came to just over $70 US. The staff was very attentive and I especially appreciate the host offering us the option when a table became available... More

This place is really nice, open patio located just in the middle of the hotel zone in Tulum, walking distance from many hotels. Menu is ample, everything is grilled, fish, steak and skewers. Empanadas were great and the cheese as well. Nice wine menu to compliment dinner. Dessert was amazing, dulce the leche crepes. Service very nice, laid back ambiance.... More

This restaurant was awesome. Food was really lovely and the drinks were even better, I would say they were the staple of the night. The only major issue was the fact that we got eaten alive by mosquitos and we had repellent on. They should really have something burning to keep them away.

The food was truly a work of art. It was a little bit hot sitting near the fire tho. Very good cocktails too! Loved the rustic vibe and the vintage looking kitchen accessories.

Delicious cocktails, apps and mains. Open air dining with a great bar and view into the open flame pit.

A very cosy place with great food (the suckling pig, roasted for 4 hours, was to die for). Chimichurri was good, if a bit watery. Note the high prices.

We enjoyed one of our dinners here as we had a view of the wood fire kitchen and were covered when the rain came. Had good portions and a nice atmosphere. We did bring bug spray (as we did with many restaurants in the evening). Had a good mixture of tables that would accommodate couples or large (8-10) people. Wait... More

Description
Located across the beach road from Nueva Vida is Casa Banana Steakhouse, a Tulum dining hot spot. Serving up classic Argentinian style cuisine, the food here is simple, fresh and delicious. For breakfast each morning enjoy made to order coffee, homemade banana bread, and pineapple coconut jam. At night the restraurant gets busy and comes alive with it’s outdoor grill, known as “parilla,” and dishes are cooked over the open fire for all to see. The menu favorites include grilled to perfection steak, fresh caught fish, impressive salads, and a thoughtfully selected wine list. Don’t forget to try the handshaken icy margaritas, too.Open daily breakfast, lunch and dinner. We provide beach service for all guests of the hotel.
