On the Tulum "tourist strip" if I may call the road along the coast that. Open layout. Since it's not on the beach side, it tends not to get the sea breeze and stays humid. Spray on your insect repellent.. they had some at the bar as well. The mosquitos got us inspite of it! They do have a number... More

Food was great, staff were nice, was fairly quiet but still lovely. Casual dining which was fairly expensive but still worth it. We ate quite late so a few dishes were sold out, but everything we had was delicious

Omg, the roast chicken dish here is to die for, so much so I came back here twice just to get the chicken, very reasonable price of 170 pesos, but honestly, one of the most tastiest dishes I have ever had, I don't know how they do it, also, don't be put of by the lack of atmosphere, the food... First dinner out in Tulum was here - and it was amazing. Excellent ceviche, fish tacos and cocktails. Warm, relaxed service and great music / ambience. We'll definitely be back!

The bad review below made me laugh a lot, people need to lighten up!! The whole charm about this place is that there isn't a hostess in a tight dress and no bra showing you to your seat or a large, leather clad menu to thumb through! It is an cool, authentic restaurant with a great menu to boot! We... More

We went to Tulum and ate at many of the top restaurants: Posada Margarita, Hartwood, Arca, and this was by far our favorite. The food was fresh, unique, but still felt authentic. It wasn't overpriced and you felt like you were getting your money's worth. The bartender made the best spicy margarita and was so accommodating. Fair warning - since... More

Let me first say – we TRIED to eat at El Tabano TWICE during our week long trip to Tulum. I had heard the food was pretty good and that it had cute décor (I’m an Interior Designer, so I appreciate good décor as well as food in restaurants). So, this place doesn’t really have a proper entry with a... More

We visit El Tabano ever year that we visit Tulum. I am pleased that the food is every bit as good as it always has been. I love that there is now a small bar, and the selection of Mexican wines is good. I love the intimate garden setting and the Mayan "fusion" cuisine. Don't miss this restaurant when in... More

We had a really exceptional Milhill and a fun night we really enjoyed the wall-mounted menu the rustic setting and funny staff. The food was exceptional especially the cochinita pibil and the coconut shrimp. And the drinks were spot on also! Can see us coming back🍻🍻
