What a great find! Good prices, service and quality. The food is authentic and delicious. If you want a traditional Mexican breakfast it is here along with other standard items like omelettes and hot cakes. Its worth a trip off the beaten path.

The service was excellent!!! I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a place where “the locals eat” come to the Pik Nik. The food is 5 stars and the prices are very reasonable.

Get away from the crowd, Look past the ambience , the cheap gimmicks at other places and enjoy the best Mexican cuisine in town. Price is reasonable the food is amazing... The chocolate Mole sauce is 20 ingredients and 5 hours to make and does...its fantastic. Party of 8, nobody wanted to share and plates were licked clean :) Absolutely fantastic . The mole sauce itself has rave reviews online They only take cash.More

Food is fresh, delicious and worth the detour. The patio is very well decorated. The service is excellent and fast. The food is also affordable; 1 entrees, 2 main dish and 2 beers for 40$ USD. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Luis, the owner is a wonderful young man. Very friendly, warm and welcoming. I came across this restaurant while waiting for my Airbnb to be ready. I had Huevos Motuleños, Fried eggs with black beans, cheese, ham, peas with sauce over fried tortilla and fried...plantain on the side. I've never had one like it before and it was delicious. The salsa habanero on the side was fire! smokey and earthy. The downside though was the coffee, it was very weak and just not hot enough. They also make fruit smoothies, which I ordered after my meal. When I think of Mexico, I think of places like Pik Nik, simple dishes but delicious and cheap. Highly recommended!More

We came across this restaurant while going for a walk. It is easy to get to from 5th.  We saw it in the morning and it was full. When we returned in the evening at 6, we were the only couple there.  We almost left...and then we realized we eat much earlier than most people.  The food and service were excellent.  I apologize for my food photo.  I started to eat my burrito and decided it needed to be featured on a review. The margaritas were terrific.  We will return.More

The location is quiet and cozy. The dishes are tasty and generous. The staff doesn't speak English, but they can give basic hints in English.

Went to have breakfast at another spot which was closed and stumbled upon Pik Nik. Beautiful palapa patio and Packed with locals with one table left. We took it. Best decision we made on our trip so far. Luis the owner was very gracious and...informative about his menu. Everything was fresh and delicious. Omelette and pancakes and Mexican egg dishes and fresh guacamole all outstanding. We loved it and can’t wait to go back!!!! I couldn’t recommend a place more highly!!!!!More

We had an excellent breakfast here with extremely attentive service from the gentleman whom I think was the owner. He asked about us and our time here, and he also took the time to explain the special food that they have for the celebration of...Mexican Independence Day. Almost every restaurant we’ve visited has been a good experience, but our service here was memorable. Plus, the food was delicious! We’ve already been twice in 3+ weeks and will definitely return before we leave.More

Very good traditional mexican food. Try the Juices, natural and fresh. I have drinking different juices in Playa and in my opinion, the juices offered at this place are the best.
