We stayed at a condo very close by. We had breakfast here every morning. Toes in the sand looking out over the water it was a great way to start every day. Their juices were fabulous. The choices for breakfast were great my favorite was...the French toast. They also have a pastry and cereal bar. We had lunch a couple of days as well and it was excellent. I especially liked the pizza. The service all week was excellent !! Pedro was extremely helpful all week !!More

I traveled to Playa del Carmen annually for the last 8 years. We are a couple that nearly always stays at Mahekal (please see my review). This year we went back an forth for months trying to decide if we were being short sighted by...not staying at another beach resort. We decided on Playa Palms because we had stayed at this small hotel in earlier years, and because we loved our meals at Indigo. Breakfast, lunch and dinner we always amazing. We are foodies and loved their offerings. This time out not so much. Probably most disappointing was my fish and chips. Fries were cold and there was more breading on the fish, and MINIMAL fish. I wish I would have taken a picture. It was nearly absurd. My partner's fried calamari was cold, and we sent this back and were refunded. Breakfast was very expensive, with no drinks other than coffee, around $50. Staff was also not as attentive. Hugo- please have wait staff deliver food that is hot! Congealed, cold food is not up to your standard. And folks, most resorts with a kitchen will cook the fish you catch. Clean, and prepared to your liking. Also, the sushi bar is no more, another disappointment. This restaurant is attached to condo units, and I think a lot of their patrons are from vacationers staying here. Also, I understand that the seaweed issue hit this restaurant particularly hard. When we were in Playa last year we took bikes from Mahekal to Indigo for breakfast and the odor from the rotting seaweed was so strong that we had to leave and could not dine here. Not sure how long this lasted, but I'm sure it has caused the restaurant to scrimp here and there. We spend about $300 a day on meals outside of our resorts, and would have loved to have dined here more often.More

We were in Playa del Carmen for our friend's big birthday celebration. Our package included breakfast at the Indigo hotel. Food and service was superb I had worked in five start hotels for many years. So I know what guest service is about. We had...nothing but great, great service at their Indigo hotel.More

Stopped here for lunch with our little baby. The food was fantastic, they gave us free starter chips and dips, but beware because if they ask if you want water and you say yes they're going to bring you a large and fairly expensive bottle...of Evian. It's right on the beach though, excellent views, fantastic food. What more could you ask for in Playa Del Carmen.More

Get in early as most of the buffet food is gone by 9am. Staff are friendly - they had a wedding to cater when we were there so the service for food was exceptionally slow which they apologised for. Food was ok. The view of...the beach is lovely though.More

You can't order a la carte...they have a special where you order an entree and then, they have a buffet of bread, fruit, yogurt, etc. It was our last day in Playa, so I was fine with that. The Chilaquilles looked really good, but I...already had that, so I opted for the Eggs Benedict with Spinach. I enjoyed the baby croissants and jam.More

The staff at Indigo Beach was fantastic! Hugo was great and quite helpful every day we went in to eat! The food is wonderful and the “green juice” is the best. Highly recommend a breakfast stop whenever you’re in Playa del Carmen!!! Thanks
