Somebody at my hotel recommended Los Aguachiles for something with a "local" flavor and seafood options. I should clearly state that there are 2 restaurants with the same name! They are owned by the same people and with the same menu options. So I assume that the food and service are essentially the same. The place I went to was... More

Ceviche was great, all the food was fresh. We had hoped to have a bit of a nicer spot for our last meal in the area, but the food was very good and nobody got sick.

We ate so well for about $16 USD. The smoked tuna tacos are amazing, the staff was pleasant, beer inexpensive and the quality of the food was great. Little open air place a few blocks from Quinta. A breath of fresh air away from the overpriced not so good restaurants of ave Quinta.

The tacos and aguachiles were fine but not as good as other places in Playa. The shrimps were very small and salad came with/on every dish. Not so good for the traveller. Considering how casual the restaurant is, you would think the prices would be cheaper.

Generous portions and friendly service. The aguachile dish with shrimp "cooked" in lie juice and veggies was a first for me and delicious. The cannibal burger was not a single burger but three medium size burgers. This place looks unassuming but the food is well worth the trip.

I loved this restaurant. There are two locations, both were outstanding. The fish and seafood tasted so fresh. The shrimp ceviche was amazing as were the tacos. Oh yes, and to top it off the prices were great too. Highly recommended.

Their speciality is the Aguachidos, which are aguachiles. They are not traditional but are a fused dish with southeast Asian influences. You can also get a decent michelada. Prices are reasonable. Try it out.
