Such a great find! Would give it 10⭐️ if we could. We ate here multiple times and every dish was amazing from breakfast to dinner. Friendly service. My wife's charcoaled chicken was a bit dry but she enjoyed most of it. I had the shrimp in red recado and enjoyed the large portions. The accompanying veggies were different but very tasty.

Came here for Christmas Eve with no reservation. The lady at the front was very accommodating and she was right the food was delicious. I had the chicken tacos, guac and chips, and the Mahi Mahi special. We sat at the bar. The staff was...really friendly and the ambiance was perfect. Delicious local cuisine, hybrid of Mayan and Mexican. Their choices crafted spices and flavors that took Mayan staples to a whole new level. Handmade tortillas fresh and warm. Loved everything we ordered. Location is on 38th just east of 5th. Take a look at the...cenote they are built on. Dined out front - felt private and no 5th Avenue cray to disturb or meal. Prices much lower than what we’ve been paying at our resort. Highly recommend!More

It was alright. Cute environment and nice people, but there are better places to eat in Playa, in my opinion. It wasn't bad, but was just ok.

Sitting just off 5th Avenue feeling like you are in a jungle beside a small cenote, this hidden gem serves up delicious creative food from the Yucatan region. One of our best meals while in Playa! Excellent friendly service and reasonably priced. Try the surf...and turf for a tasty experience!More

We were attracted to this place by the tranquil atmosphere and the food was also phenomenal! Trying to find places with excellent veggie and meaty options is always struggle but the lunch menu here (also available when we went for an earlyish dinner) was fantastic!...We were sat right next to the garden area and the service was excellent! We went to Amate 38 at least three times, to cool off and rest in the middle of the day. We never ate a meal here, but ordered the quacamole several times. The servers also brought chips and three different salsas. My favorite was absolutely...the habanero, which might be too spicey for some people, but goes extremely well with a mojito! By the way, their mojitos are the best I've ever had. I also tried a passionfruit margarita, which was not only flavorful, but powerful. If you like good mixed drinks and a pleasant relaxing atmosphere (with a cenote), check it out.More

We were drawn in by the vibey atmosphere of this chill restaurant that seemed to be tucked into a jungle - like haven. Then the food was amazing. We just stopped for a snack and a drink. Mimosas were small and ok, but the guac,...chips and the array of medium to muy picante sauces that came with, was to die for! If this wasn't so far from where we were staying, we would have loved to come back for a full meal as the menu looked amazing and authentic. Really cool spot!More

I was there with my cousin on the last day of my trip to Playa del Carmen. It was packed, but the wait was worth it: We had some breakfast let me tell you! Baked goods to begin with: Carrot bread and hand-made tortillas, some...juice made out of peppermint, watermelon, and something else. We both asked for the same omelet...shame on me but I can´t remember the name: it had chaya, plantains, salad, and something else. DE-LI-CI-OUS! Waiters, waitresses, and servers: All awful. A packed restaurant is no reason to provide poor service.More
