I stumbled upon this place walking 5th Ave. The amount of food given for the meal for two was incredible. Just take a look at the pic. When I travel to Mexico all i drink is Cadillac Margaritas. With that said they are not cheap but Los Rancheros were very strong. I like strong when they run 10 + american... More

Excellent Mexican food with ultra-friendly staff you make you feel welcome from the get-go. The Aztec soup was creamy and came with sides of avocado, nachos and cheese. Red snapper was simply seasoned and was of course accompanied by the obligatory lime. Not the cheapest place, but well worth a visit.

We took the ferry from Cozumel to Playa and just walked around. We picked Los Rancheros because it had the choice of patio or air conditioned seating. We were very pleased with the food and service!! I had the cream of lobster soup on the recommendation of our waiter. I was a red sauce and excellent and I am a... More

Our family of 5 adults and 3 teenagers came here for our final dinner before heading back home. The restaurant is in a very touristy area yet we were able to enjoy authentic Mexican warmth, customer service and food. Our waiter, Carlos, is definitely in the right field. He takes pride in his job and it shows. The guacamole was... More

We tried the chef recommended dinner for two. It's noted as "muy Mexican" on the menu. It comes with salsa & chips with guacolamole made fresh at your table. The main course is presented on a festive platter featuring chicken, streak, ribs & vegetables. Sides include rice & beans. The margaritas are amazing (made with don Julio).

We ran across this resturant shopping in the flea market on Playa del Carmen. After 5 days of resort food this was a welcome change. The food was fresh and flavorful and the servers made the meal interesting with a little flare serving our drinks. The margaritas were excellent and dont pass up the bananas flambe, it's fun to watch... More

This was a nice so while walking through Playa del Carmen. We enjoyed eating on the rooftop, and getting out of the sun.

The "good" - The restaurant is nice enough for a restaurant in Playa del Carmen. The food was mediocre at best. I had the fajitas and they were bland. The bad - The waiter brought out table side guacamole. I asked if we were going to be charged for it and he said no. When the check arrived, he absolutely... More
