The food is really good. The ambiance is nice. The service needs a little organization, but I'll definitely recommend this place.

So this place was highly recommended to us. VERY cute- loved the decor and water features, fans a nice bonus for hot August. Drinks were fun and good (loved the mango margarita). Fried cheese appetizer was great. Seared tuna entree not so great, not much flavor and wasn't too tender. Service was just ok. Fiance loved his drink but wasn't... More

Had been told that they had the best chilaquiles ever, and was a bit let down. They are good, but just short of great. The coffee and conchas are really good as well as the freshly produced juices. It gets very busy during w/e for breakfast so arrive before 11am

I enjoy going for breakfast at La cueva del Chango every now and then, the food is good and the atmosphere very nice, rustic and just the way Playa del Carmen used to be, very enjoyable, they also serve dinner but I've never been there other than for breakfast.

A fun atmosphere of jungle, fish pond, and authentic local decorating. Great service (but remember to bring cash!) and delicious food! The chilaquiles and enchiladas are my favourite, and the coffee mugs are even cute!

Excellent, my son and I loved this place. Everything was on point. On our third visit we had dinner and enjoyed the rain up close without getting wet. Great food and excellent service.

Our food wasn't very interesting at all but the main issue here was service. Our waiter was way more interested in waiting on a large table that was either friends or family and so we got nothing in the way of attention. We got our drinks, apps, food and even our bill literally tossed at us. We also did not... More

La Cueva del Chango is a unique restaurant-bar, not only in concept but also for the natural setting amongst abundant vegetation and trees. The culinary concept is natural Mexican food, we serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. All the juices are made with fresh fruit and we also have a bar with an ample assortment of premium brands. The wines we serve are mexican, thus offering and ample selection. In La Cueva del Chango we believe in the Mexican cuisine and offer a high quality product at a reasonable price.
