It is a very quiet place to go have breakfast, it is in the center and very good. However food isn't the best.

Came twice at this restaurant, once for dinner and than decided to try out brunch as well. The restaurant had a particular vibe, pretty decorations and attentive service. Totally recommending both their cocktails and fresh juices. The menu offers a wide variety of food and portions are big and well cooked. Don't miss out the chilaquiles! Altough the restaurant is... We've been to Playa Del Carmen many times and always make a point to go to La Cueva del Chango. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Is a little off the beaten path, which is a good thing. We've been going for years and the service and quality of the food has not changed significantly. The atmosphere is... More

Very popular restaurant, definitely like it, service was attentive and a variety of menu options for breakfast, I like the idea of having various open space area tables, and some others under the palapa, as all popular places it takes a little time waiting on line to get at table but worth it, I give 4 stars out of five... This is outside seating under trees with a stream with turtles. Our service was a little slow this trip because the restaurant was packed with large groups. We enjoyed our fresh guacamole and chips while we waited. The kids watched the turtles. They fixed grilled chicken for the kids. We enjoyed our local dishes. I like their sopes. Don't forget... At first I was kind of annoyed when waiting for a table but it was very well worth it. The food was delicious. I had the morita chilaquiles and tasted their molletes. I would definitely go back.

Ate dinner at La Cueva during a recent dive trip. Overall the food was good and the service was fine. We had two of the stuffed pepper dishes for starters then two fish dishes for entrees. The two pepper dishes were quite good, not spicy for those who might be concerned. The fish fillet in mole sauce was good, as... More

La Cueva del Chango is a unique restaurant-bar, not only in concept but also for the natural setting amongst abundant vegetation and trees. The culinary concept is natural Mexican food, we serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. All the juices are made with fresh fruit and we also have a bar with an ample assortment of premium brands. The wines we serve are mexican, thus offering and ample selection. In La Cueva del Chango we believe in the Mexican cuisine and offer a high quality product at a reasonable price.
