This place gets so busy people eat standing! We came early and got a table, friendly wait staff brought cold beers and waited while I took way too long deciding what to eat. The atmosphere is so relaxed you just want to stay all night, the food was so good, zingy guacamole and smoky meat, not expensive. We would come... More

The place for meat. The whole family loves the medium rare Arrachera. Great for take out if you are staying closeby, we were at Xaman Ha so it was a short walk. Again another eatery of the main.

I love going to H&C Monterey because I'm never disappointed. Get place to get a cold drink and some of the best tacos and guacamole I've ever had. The portions are good and the price is fairly inexpensive for what you get. Great local feel without any stuffiness.

We stumbled across this place while shopping in downtown Playa Del Carmen and basically on a hot day just looking for a place to get a cold beer. After the 2nd beer and some very fresh complimentary pico de gallo and tortilla chips we decided to try something on the menu. I asked the "maitre d" (I call him this... More

Hola, We were crossing by the restaurant and we saw people standing there eating, with most of the tables taken. We decided to step in and see what it was all about. Awesome experience!!! The meat was deliciously flavored and perfectly cooked. The guacamole was the best we had in Mexico. Tacos were also great; the melted cheese was also... More

A hole in the wall on 1st below 30th. Closes at 8 and has some of the best Mexican beef anywhere. Unless you want it moving, order medium rare and it will be RARE !!. Wall of names was just redone so we had to redo our signage. Good for another 5 years now, lol.

We took a taxi to two other locations which were closed, but the original location on 1 Sur Avenida was open - and were we ever glad. This is local dining at it's best, from the Queso Fundido con Chorizo to the Guacomole and their speciality - Arrachera. The carne is melt-in-your-mouth good, and it is worth the trip. Just... More

By far one of our favorite places to eat. We only heard about it this year and ended up eating there 3 times in 4 weeks. It's off the beaten path a bit and not frequented by a lot of tourists. It was recommended to us by some locals and the Arrachera Nacional was simply the best meat we ate.... More
