Went back to the Blue Parrot and was pleasantly surprised that the food was still splendid. Had a giant lobster that was excellent. Nice wait staff and the perfect spot. The restaurant is right at the intersection where all the major clubs are so after eating you can walk up the street to Coco Bongo or down the street to... More

Went here to have lobster and, after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, we decided to give it a try. The service was outstanding, friendly and attentive. We choose our lobster and it was served broiled to perfection. I highly recommend Blue Lobster if you are looking for great food.

I'm honestly shocked that the reviews of this place are so favorable. It's okay, but really unspectacular. I ordered the Blue Lobster Plate, which is a combination of fish and lobster in a white wine sauce. The lobster was pretty good, but the fish tasted like it had been frozen and then heated in a microwave. The other three people... More

A lot has changed in this place...We were there 1 year ago and I remember we had a great Ribeye and Lobster tail dish It was delicious. We were there now and the food was just poor in quality and presentation. We ordered exactly the same as we loved it last time. Ribeye and lobster tail, The lobster was grilled... More

Our first night in Playa we wandered around until we saw this place and decided to give it a whirl. We were sure glad we did! We both LOVED our food (the coconut shrimp is TO DIE FOR), the portions were huge and everything was wonderful. If we ever get back to Playa, we will for sure dine here again!

hate it when a place says their seafood is fresh and it is frozen. the lobster tails are frozen. they come from farther down south of mexico. there is no way they are fresh. they were tasty and not overly old though. am sure a old one gets left out of rotation though. if you hvae them grill or boil... Let me start off by saying I'm kind of partial to Main lobsters over Florida/Caribbean lobsters. So when I saw the huge tails on display, to choose size, I decided to go with the grilled shrimp. Darn! Although the shrimp was very good, The lobster tail that my son had was so tender and tasty. Service was excellent, as it... More

Seafood restaurants are everywhere, so finding one that stands out is easier said, then done. On top of that find one that won't gouge you on price and you have a winner. I believe I found one in Play Del Carmen and it's called the Blue Lobster. Outstanding was the Shrimp Diablo with just the right amount of spice and... More

Downtown Playa and a happening scene. We found this little gem by word of mouth and popular reviews. We were not disappointed. I went in looking for good lobster and found exactly what I was looking for. I struggled finishing my plate. The lobster was so wonderful we came back twice during our 7-day stay in Playa del Carmen. The... More

In July 1996 Blue lobster opens in Playa del Carmen to become a favorite of locals and tourists to enjoy a delicious lobster, fish and seafood. Built with tropical wood, stone slab, thatched roofs and waterfalls that give an extra relaxation touch. We always try to satisfied and exceed our customers’ expectations. Excellent food, polite waiters and a fantastic view of the fifth Avenue will make you spend an unforgettable night. We have capacity for 130 persons on two levels and an air conditioning area to 22. Blue lobster makes a compromising bet on mexican wine and regional sea dishes that result in a perfect union. They have created perfect unions for their wines’ selection through a very special menu that proposes the perfect combination between their gastronomy and their wines. As three dishes’ menu with different wine suggestions in order to please every palate: reds, whites, roses and foamy wines.
