We make an annual trip to Playa Del Carmen and while we may occasionally visit another restaurant, this is where we eat 85% of our meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff is very personable, remembering us each year when we return. The food is absolutely the best. They have a large selection of well prepared, tasty meals. The presentation... More

The 'mixed' fajitas which my mom and I had, were supposed to come with shrimp, veggies, chicken and beef. They came with a lot of onion, some paprika, beef and a little bit of chicken :(

We were wondering around looking for a nice spot and this one caught our attention. We took our gut feeling quickly into consideration to grab a table and we only regret not being able to eat more. The service was absolutely great. Really friendly staff. Micheladas were very nice and I personally went for the Mixed Ceviche (195 pesos): great... More

After strolling along the main road for nice atmosphere restaurant this place caught our eye, the staff were so friendly but not OTT and accommodating, made us massive cocktails as per request!

I completely agree with the previous reviewer, we have been to Pez Vela a few times over the last few years - at least once each time we visit. Last year our server was extremely rude and in fact told us that he hated all English people - we had only had 2 drinks and had queried the high price... More

We couldn't find a restaurant that I had heard about, so we strolled into Pez Vela...we couldn't handle the rest of the shop owners yelling at us to come in to their stores! My husband and I both ordered what we call "street tacos"...and they were really good! We also ordered 2 big margaritas each...the bill was $51!!!!! Throw in... More

The title pretty much sums it up. I've traveling to Playa for 20 years so when you come across a place of business that not once but twice is not tourist friendly you should let people know. Went there first time 2 years ago food was ok but staff was rude... very rude. Next visit was this October again rude... More

Great drinks, perfect location to watch the tourists. The swings at the bar make this place unique, and they will even sell you a bottle of tequila (reasonably priced) with your picture on the label.

Stopped in for an early dinner with daughter, granddaughter (13) and sister. We started with the fried Parmesan. Large enough serving for an additional two people. We loved the crispy cheese dipped in the Valentina Sauce. Granddaughter ordered the pork ribs - what a huge serving! But she ate every last bone on the plate. Daughter and I split the... More
