I ate once at Byblos back when it was around the actual Thompson Hotel, and I was impressed by its cuisine. So when I saw it was back on the 10th & 24th without doubt I invite my French Queen to have a dinner there... Amazing . It's hard to choose when you now anything would be delicious. It's very... Another wonderful meal at Byblos! Started with the Fois Gras with Calvados, and grilled Salmon with sides of mashed potatoes and leeks. Ended with the most beautiful strawberries sliced and a bit of vanilla ice cream. Can't wait for my next trip to Cancun and a 5 Star dinner at Byblos!

I had been reading the great reviews of Byblos, so we tried it ourselves. Escargot and the goat cheese and tomato appetizers to start. Both were excellent. The chipotle tuna and wrapped fish fillet Provençal mains were also excellent, and prepared perfectly. The service was also friendly. The only slightly down side were the gnats since we elected to eat... More

This restaurant is one of the finest dinning experiences in Playa it is worth every peso! I had the French onion soup, kidneys and shared the escargot with my wife. Nice house wine.

The perfect day in Playa; splash in the surf, soak up some sun and then get yourself to Byblos for dinner. A lovely little french restaurant with a charming and romantic candle lit dinning porch. Excellent, attentive service by the owner, Silvie and a well rounded menu of fish, fowl and steak. We always start with the escargots, but there... More

I wish my stomach was bigger! I wanted one of everything. Started with the salmon tartar, a beautiful presentation and very fresh fish. My husband had the classic French Onion soup and he was very impressed. Next was the endive with blue cheese salad and it was delicious, crisp endive and creamy blue. We each had a pasta dish, hubby... More

This local French bistro is amazing, everyone says it is THE BEST and that are right on. From the nice decor, to service, to quality, to presentation - this place can't be beat. Great for a romantic dinner or for groups. We ordered escargot, arugula salad, french onion soup, rabbit, risotto, carpaccio and 2-pasta dishes. Each were delicious. Highly recommend.

Wow, this is truly a great restaurant, not just for PDC, but on its own standing anywhere. Unpretentious French Food is a friendly quaint setting. The variety of the menu options is very surprising, considering that this is a small restaurant....there is something for everyone. We had three courses each, starting with two greats - Foie Gras Mousse with Onion... More

We were looking to try something new so based on what we read here, we headed to Byblos. It did not disappoint. We did not have a reservation but were fortunate to secure an empty table for two. Sylvia, the owner greeted us, offering glass of house wine. If you dine before 7:30, there is wonderful "prix fixe" menu. For... More
