The title is saying it all. My wife and I ask for pastas to be delivered at our home....two hours later the delivery man showed up....a bit late no? starting eating these delicious pasta and then we found our pastas a bit crunchy... then my...wife stopped eating and saw a half cockroach in her pasta, the other half was already eaten. I peronnally had also some crunchy bites but did not really pay attention to it. We can understand the late delivery and also the insect in our plates but we do not understand the very poor recovery service after such incident. The front desk guy did not care at all about this situation and just hanged up the phone, I tried again to call him and he was just hanging up the phone over and over. This is very embarrassing for us as we love to go to this place since more than a year, with family and friends. This guy at the front desk just left us so frustrated to not be able to explain ourselves that we had to write this review right after in order to relieve our anger. I am so sad people like that guy are working there, I think the manager should just fire him for the disrespect and poor quality of just talking to people which is the base of his tasks. Well, if you eat from there it is 50 / 50, you can have a good experience or just be so pissed due to many bad factors that has this restaurant. MaxMore

Outstanding Italian food and service. Ate here 3x in a row! I really cannot say enough good things about this fantastic Italian restaurant in Playa Del Carmen. Located in a very nice shopping center Xaman-Ha, and has a very European feel to it. After our...first dinner we fell in love with his place. Freshly made tagliatelle alla norcina, spaghetti with fresh crab, huge fresh salad, and very reasonably priced Italian wines made for a fantastic first dinner. Our second and third visits were even better! The pizza da Vinci and fresh shrimp Caesar were especially amazing, as well as spaghetti with clams and casarrece pasta with broccoli and ham. Eggplant Parmesan was delectable and bubbling hot, fantastic with their delicious fresh baked bread. Also a special mention for their dreamy panna cotta with fresh mango sauce. This was by far the best dinner experience I’ve had in a long time I feel like we stumbled on a hidden gem in Playa and can’t wait to return and dine here again with more family and friends. Bravo!More
This was one of the worst meals we have had in a long long time and as we travel and eat out a lot, it is quite an achievement. The bread - stale and old. The wine - the cheapest trash sold at a massive...markup. The tuna carpaccio - no idea what happened to the poor tuna but tasted like flour. Served with chewy raisins. The pizza - bad, bad pepperoni. Burnt totally black at the bottom. The steak - it looked like something from a horror movie. Totally inedible. Old, dried vegetables and potatoes.More
Perche No, No, No! One of our obligatory duties as expats living down here in paradise is to properly host all our friends and family as they drop in every now and then. When you first make home here, they come down in a heavy...steady stream. Seems like every weekend is a party rock/the all nighter with assorted friends, kids, brothers, sisters, cousins, uncles and other precious relatives. I try to indulge whatever wish, whim and debauchery they request, but always try my best to steer them to the better dinning experiences we’ve discovered in PDC. I will now confidently state rule NUMBER ONE- never take them to a place you don’t know. I veered off course last night and made that ill-fated decision to take my bawdy yet quite prudish wife’s smart and cool cousin and her laid back and clever hubby to a place we’d heard of but never tried. Bad idea. Off 307 S. near GNC # 1286 and next to the pet food store in a strip mall, there’s Perche, No. And I cannot emphasize the no enough. What a disaster. After hearing some generally positive comments regarding same, we took a chance. First, it has nothing to do with PDC, MX. As I mentioned, its in a strip mall that reminds you of Anytown USA on a bad meth day. Depressing even before you even enter the place and see their boring, sterile interior design. Who designed this layout, Papa John’s niece? After we surveyed their simple and quite forgettable menu, we started with a relatively simple order of carpaccio of salmon. Mistake. Our uninterested waiter delivered a good-looking plate. But, upon further tasting it appears as if they just took the uneaten salmon from last night and sliced it very thin and threw it on a plate of greens, cherry tomatoes and doused it with some vinaigrette. Awful. A cheap all-inclusive dish at best. That was a precursor of things to come. The cousin’s hubby’s pasta carbonaro was sub-olive garden in taste and freshness. As was the cool cousin’s ravioli braccio di ferro of which I had a taste. Soupy, mushy and just plain dull. I honestly felt bad for these trusting visitors. My cheeky yet sometimes scheming wife and I decided to share half carne and half veggie pizza which arrived ultra-soggy and nothing liked we ordered. Worst was the uncooked pink Italian sausage balls setting on top on the entire pie. Poor performance by staff, cook and crew in a restaurant barely half full. With the sole exception a surprisingly delicious Caesar salad, the rest of the dinner was just plain disappointing especially given all the great Italian restaurants choices in PDC. Worst of all, our visitors demanded to pick up the tab which included an extra charge for the raw Italian sausage. My disappointment dropped to a whole new level. Definitely not my style. Pro tip- try out new venues with local friends. Our guests leave on Sunday and I hope we can redeem ourselves. Perche, No. Absolutely no, no, no. And happy birthday Rick.More
We stopped for lunch after a long walk downtown playa del carmen. The Cesar salad was crispy and well balanced and the pizza with a tin crust was delicious. The service was efficient and attentive they answered all our questions on the menu and offered...us a chocolate with the bill. Eating in Mexique is cheap compared to our restaurants in Canada. No sales taxes good quality food at good price. We will be back.More
Great little find next to the hospital. The food I ate was really good and the service too. I had gnocchi it was really good.
I've been to this restaurant on many occasions since it opened and I keep returning as it is the best Italian restaurant in Playa de Carmen. The staff are very friendly and the food is excellent and the menu has great variety. So if you...are looking for a GREAT local place to enjoy with friends or family, don't hesitate to check this place out.More
We were brought to Perche No by a local Playa del Carmen friend who knows good food. Excellent menu, I think I changes my mind 10 times. I chose the Penne Puttanesca and is was excellent.. Salads were fresh, carpaccio thin as paper. We had...excellent service and got there just before the rush. Steaks were perfectly cookd. We will definitely keep this restaurant on our list.More
My husband and I ate here Twice with another couple on our recent holiday. We had the seafood ceased, pizza, and seafood pasta. The food was delicious, the service was lovely and the prices are affordable. I had a lime margarita on the rocks which...was perfect.More
What a fantastic place, it has got it all! Delicious food (thin pizzas, homemade pasta rightly cooked “al dente” with tasty salsas, a real Italian tiramisu and my chocolate panna cotta was awesome), the right ingredients...Service by Aurelio was friendly, genuine and efficient. I requested...a very unusual change on my pizza and in no time they accepted it and made it happen the perfect way. Owner is visible, in his restaurant checking on service, too rare to forget to mention it! We will definitely come back! Forza Italia and indeed: perche no?!More
We have ordered few times, and today was the last order we ll ever make. I have ordered a caprese with burrata. Toamatoes were almost green with absolutely no test and the burrata discusting. Pasta al pomodoro are very fade. Pizza when reheated was okay.
This is supposed to be an outhentic italien restaurant; however it is not. Pizza is very good and probably one of the best in Playa del Carmen. However, we had Beringela al Parmesana followed by fish. The Beringela was average and not Italian style at...all. The fish was bland, overcooked and smelled as at it came out of his element two weeks ago. Due to Covid we avoided the very crowded inside of the restaurant. The outside seating lacked charm all together. Eating at a strip mall close to a main thorough fare in a parking lot is not what we expected from a charming italian restaurant.More

We visited for lunch and the restaurant was empty, but the wait for food was very long. The food was very good.
