The best sorbets

Enjoy the views and people walking by the street. Try the chocolate sorbet and the guanabana one. They are simply amazing. Good service.

There's no better spot in Merida than Helados Colon to have a delicious sorbet and watch the activity in the Plaza Principal across the street. My favorites: Guanabana and Durazno (peach). Midday in Merida can get hot and these refreshing sorbets and a chance to sit and relax for awhile offer a great break. I never miss this treat on... More

No visit to Merida is complete without visiting Helados Colon. Even though they have gotten more expensive lately, they are well worth visiting. I personally like the lime sorbet better. I will say that some people are concerned about the hygiene of the glasses over which they serve the sorbets, but we usually order them for take out, so that's... More

This ice cream spot is a must if you visit Merida! The coco ice cream amazingly fresh! Don't expect the ice cream to be thick as any American ice cream would be? They are lighter and less creamy but very refreshing and perfect for the hot weather at Merida.

Close to Rosa et Chocolate restaurant on Avenue Paseo is this wonderful 100 year old ice cream shop. I know nothing about their food and can only comment on the ice cream. It is all home made from natural ingredients. My favorite is the coconut. We visited several times, but I foolishly stuck only with coconut. Everything is in Spanish... More

Consistently awesome for over 100 years. Coke here for the ice cream and come back here for the ice cream. My absolute favorite is the lemon sorbet.

This is more of a people watching hang out. Ice cream was a bit too sweet but lots of unique Mexican flavors. Recommend the cookies and other baked goods. Hard to find a table but standing was fine. Make sure you buy from the local ladies selling blouses and sarapes ... Great prices and hopefully goes back to local community.

The most delicious and naturally made sorbetes. Their ingredients are totally natural fruits. Try the mix of coconut and banana while you enjoy the view at downtown square. Don't forget to buy souvenirs from local artisans such as handcrafted apparel and leather handmadr backpacks.
