Amazing authentic Mexican cuisine is served here with lack of attention to detail regarding service. Beautiful antique colonial house boasts as center stage for this restaurant that has numerous tables and what I understand to be a petite staff. I would suggest having more servers durong rush hours. Besides that detail I would highly recommend eating here

Not very impressed about this restaurant... They gave me a spot in a big room where I sat all by myself while there were still other free tables in the main room. There was a waiter in the same room drying the dishes. Food was one big lump of dough with just some tiny pieces of chicken. Wifi didn't work... More

The choice of dishes was quite wide and tfeatured traditional Yucatan dishes. We noticed a lot of locals eating here which is always a good sign. Two ladies were diligently churning out hand made burritos which were freshly cooked and and deliceious. There were several dishes which allowed you to try a little bit of different specailities which are well... More

Wide range, reasonable prices, attentive service, generally good and tasty food. Sure, all of the Chaya Maya places are a bit touristy, but their popularity and reliability is justified.

Food here is superb! the best traditional yucatecas food of the region. I suggest Poc-chuc and black beans with pork

We came here for our last night in Mérida and had a great meal. We shared the plate that had three types of traditional Yucatan food on it, with bean soup and tortillas. It was all delicious! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was full and had a great atmosphere even though we were there on a... More

The restaurant is located downtown Merida is a nice place with a garden in the middle, the service is good and the food is good too. If you want to try local food is a nice place to start, the prices are very affordable.

It is located in the center of Merida. It is a typical Mexican restaurant. We tried different dishes and they were reasonable. The vegetable soup was very tasty. The cheese empanada was very good as well. The beef was so so. The restaurant looks clean and cosy. I would recommend it.

I know it's touristy and kind of kitschy but I really like this place. I love the atmosphere and decor and that our server saved us from ordering too much food. It has an old-fashioned, family style feel to it. Enjoyed the Chaya pineapple drink and the food is solid. Tasty salbutes, guacamole, a wonderfully hot habanero sauce if you... More
