The look is tropical, colonial Merida but the food is straight out of a neighborhood bistro in Paris. It really was a delight and a surprise.

I rented just a block from there so I was in a few times. The food was always good and the homemade bread a treat. They also had some delightful pastries. Lovely outside seating.

This is my 3rd review of this restaurant. The first I was not all that impressed, the second I kind of liked it better and the third.... Well, I was wrong on the first 2 reviews! I have been back about 20 to 25 times and have to say that it is one of the best meals I have had... More

This is a restaurant you have to want to go to as you will not stumble upon it because it is located in an area that has no tourist attraction. Each day, the menu changes so you can go everyday and have a unique selection. The food is prepared fresh and is presented artfully. The seating area is in a... More

We really liked this place. Not in a very picturesque part of Merida, but once inside all changes,: from the eclectic art on the walls to the charming courtyard, to the quaint interior, this is a real find. The food is good. Our orange juice was quite good, not watery. And the breakfasts were delish. Yes, I do see the... More

So after reading a few reviews and being close to our hotel we decided to give it a try, the food and coffee was ok, which would have got a three star, dropped to a 2 due to my gf ordering a set menu which come with a croissant of some form but didn't specify how many, then out come... More

We live around the corner a block away so this is a convenient spot for a casual breakfast for us, however,..... I think we won't go back anymore. The juices are very watery, especially the Orange juice and the watermelon juice is a one time only drink in my opinion. Maybe it's an acquired taste? I squeeze my own orange... More

This was our first visit to Bistro Cultural, but definitely not our last. My husband and I stopped by for lunch and found a favorite new restaurant. We both ordered the French onion soup, which was delightful - slightly sweet onions and a deep, rich broth. Then I had the pork loin in a tomato-based au jus with grilled a... More

This cute little cafe has a warm atmosphere with good simple food. Also definitely one of the better cappuccinos we've had in Merida. The staff are friendly and didn't seem to mind our poor attempts at ordering in Spanish. Bathrooms are clean and tidy as well.

met a friend for lunch, she eats there weekly, if not more often and loves it. It was my first experience. I ordered the same as she, and unfortunately, although the sauce was good, my fish was raw. may try it again, because it was tasty. just don't quite understand all the hub bub. it was ok!
