We chose this restaurant as lots of local people were eating here. Service and food was excellent although it was crowded and rather noisy. Good for a quick meal.

We had a great meal at this place. At first we thought it was a little over priced until our meals showed up. They were both delicious and plentiful! I ordered 2 asado tacos and they were both so packed with meat that i ended up making 4 out of them with extra tortillas. The queso fundido was excellent and... More

You can enjoy a mixture of dishes like nachos or a kind of taco flavored pizza pieces. The service was really good.

Loved eating here. The food was always good. We were in Merida for just over 4 months and ate here at least once or twice a week. Try going on a Saturday or Sunday evening when the streets all around are closed to traffic and they bring out tables and chairs for extra dining. Great time to people watch.

We popped in one night for a late night snack. I have to say I was disappointed by their tacos al pastor: I’ve been jonesing for some good ones ever since I had some amazing “al carbon” ones in Playa del Carmen many moons ago. But their pollo asado was good, so that along with the cheerful service leaves me... More

Breakfast, lunch or dinner and Los Trompos has not let us down. Not only is the food fresh and tasty but the staff goes out of its way to please (Gracias Javier and Edgar, among others). The breakfasts are huge, the traditional Yucateco and Mexican dishes ditto. Prices are moderate. Bottom line: Los Trompos delivers an A-1 experience.

This last time we visited Los Trompos, we went to the Coty Center location, in which we had good experiences before. We found lack of interest in waiters to give attention to our table. We had to go get our menus, wave for drinks, wave for dessert, wave for the check of course; and I'm talking about a "standing up... More

Our group goes to Los Trompos every year while in Merida. They are always very accomodating and friendly. Their pizza and gringas are out of this world. Definitely my favorite place to go in Merida.
