I ended up at Hennessy's with a friend cause we were super hungry and we were after some serious eats ! Well thank god Hennessy's popped up. I had a great juicy and tasty hamburger, complete with great crunchy fries and a beer. All for 200 pesos ! Back soon !

The owners have done an outstanding job with the decor at Hennessy's. It is such an attractive, almost opulent pub. Our host who winters in Merida was craving a burger & insisted we eat there on the last evening of our vacation in Merida. I had the fish and chips (& cold beers of course) The meals were outstanding and... More

It had been a while so I decided to give it another try. Unfortunately nothing has changed much. Still only so-so at high prices. Still seems to owe much of its success to the local expat crowd. Not only was the food mediocre at best but the service was slow and uninspired. It will be a long time before I... More

THE best fish and chips and THE best shrimp burger in the world! YES, in the world - OK, maybe not the world for the fish and chips but 100% for the shrimp burger. This is a grew place to go in Merida and enjoy an elegant mean or just a burger (especially the shrimp burger). Service can be a... More

I've been here twice. Fantastic location, inside area w/ Air Con and patio area too. Fish n Chips are my fave. Staff friendly. This place always has something happening; whether it's Halloween, Live music, fundraising for a charity, St.Patrick's day, etc..... there's always fun. Their bar is beautiful and drink assortment probably the best in Merida. When in doubt where... More

I usually don't go to Irish Pubs outside of the U.S., Ireland or the UK as the food is always horrible. Today I was pleasantly surprised by the fresh caught cod Fish n chips (nice thick cut seasoned French fries). The portion size was more than I would usually eat for lunch and at an inexpensive price of $165 pesos... More

Apart from the potato wedges they serve with so many dishes - the food is at a very high standard. The staff are very nice, the bar itself is beautiful, some very nice wines, lovely building and atmosphere. I go to Hennessy's very often and they are consistently good.

30 minutes for soup, another 20 for a shrimp burger and it was mushy when it arrived. Minus one more for no draught Guinness (in an Irish Pub !)

This pub is a good spot when you are walking on paseo montejo at merida. After a long walk is good to stop at this place and have a cold beer to stop your thirst. Merida is very hot and you might need it. Very cold beer and great variety, but the place was not great. Although we went on... More

Same signage as a pub of the same name in Rotorua New Zealand , same photographs as I have had up in my office for 28 years , showing premier league soccer. All a bit cofusing and the cocktail was a bit ordinary . Staff looked bored

Description
Hennessy's Irish Pub: Bringing an authentic taste of Ireland to Merida, Mexico.

Opened in late 2010 by Irish expats Sean Hennessy and Colm Cooney, Hennessy's has quickly become one of Merida's favorite watering holes and resturants, popular with locals, expats and travelers alike. Don't miss Hennessy's stunning front bar, cozy Polo Bar in back, open-air patio and billiard room.

In addition to its stellar Fish-n-Chips, don't-miss menu items include stunning curries, fresh salads and delicious steaks. Hennessy's also offers a great selection of beer, wine, cocktails and Irish Whiskey. And Guinness, of course.
