This restaurant comes highly recommended by almost everyone I know, locals and foreigners. It's a good restaurant and a nice dining experience, but as it is supposed to be in the top 20 restaurants in México I was expecting more. They have two entrée lobster dishes, one with pasta and one with nance fruit. I don't like nance fruit and... More

The location is a little strange (in a nice strip mall in the north of the city) but 100% worth it. Their menu has 1 page of traditional Yucatecan options they have reinterpreted and 2 pages of other inventive dishes. We went for lunch and everything was fantastic. The open kitchen was fun also to watch the production. Wish we... More

We could not stop eating! The black onions, the suadero, the cochinita pibil and finally the dessert. Everything was excellent and exciting. When in Merida, this restaurant is a must. The dishes are superbly presented and obviously, the taste, is exquisite.

Chef was absent but his sous and team could not have performed better. As a retired exec chef, I have always believed that the chef's truest test is when he is not there and his training skills are in evidence. The open kitchen permitted us to view the team's measured and purposeful dance of skilled concentration. The octopus carpaccio was... More

We travel a lot in Mexico with a small plane. We are foodies. We are restaurant people. We love fine dining. We love great service. Nectar exceeded all our expectations we have for dining in Mexico! If you find yourself in Merida get a reservation and a taxi to Nectar! Share the black onions and the short ribs they are... More

eduardo at kuuk, told us to come in here, we didn't know what to expect after kuuk experience, we were amazed to see how fine dinning can have different ways to be presented, in a completly different style nectar is also great, the new yucatecan cuisine is by far the best in mexico congrats to chef roberto and his staff

i really wanted to like this place. i had it on my list from last time i visited. sadly it didn't meet my expectations. the food was uneven. we had the charcoaled onions which were interesting but i couldn't eat more than one. the short rib app was the standout. the tuna starter was good also. my friend enjoyed his... This restaurant should be ranked #1 in Merida. I think it's not because most people don't venture too far away from the old square or popular pasejo de monteo areas. Nectar is reachable by cab and they will call you one back to your hotel too. The food was unbelievably good and refined. This next sentence is not meant to... More

We had heard that the two best restaurants in Merida are Ku'uk and Nectar, and while we only had the chance to try Nectar, we were not disappointed. Not the most convenient location depending on where you are staying in Merida, but worth the taxi ride (there is a cool bar next door for drinks called Almibar). The service was... More

The art of food is celebrated here. We had so many interesting courses, each conceptualized by the chef dramatically. It's fine dining, almost to the heights of culinary prowess as in Mexico City's fine dining restaurants or the high end Tijuana fine dining restaurants.
