Must have originally been a house - has numerous small rooms. We found a back room where the music was an acceptable level. Lot of sausage choices but we ordered goulash soup, tasty but very small pieces of meat and wiener schnitzel. That was a mistake, very thin, dry piece of pork. Huge selection of beers.

Sol, Corona, and the remaining 6 beers that are available coast to coast in Mexico are all a very poor excuse for a decent beer. We searched high and low and found this place selling a range of craft and International beers everyone of them superior to the factory made Mexican beers. A welcome beer bar in a sea of... More

If want a break from Mexican cuisine or are suffering an episode of German beer withdrawal while wondering the streets of Merida Mexico, this is the place to get your fix. Tasty little sandwiches and other types of German fair. Yum Yum

Oktoberfest means finding a wonderful German restaurant that serves large glasses of beer and sausages. My partner (the meat eater) reported that the sausages were delicious, as he wished he had ordered the entire platter instead of just one. Reportedly juicy and flavourful, I have no doubt we'll be returning for sausages again.

Walked and and were greeted warmly, bartender offered us to try their special Oktoberfest beer which was on promotion. Turns out there was no promotion and the beer wasn't theirs, imported bottles that cost 100 pesos each. When questioned they refused to admit there was any promotion. Not ideal. We promptly left and continued drinking elsewhere.

I happen to enjoy authentic German food. I am spoiled because I have an excellent German restaurant and German deli near my home. When I learned Merida had a German restaurant, I was excited. I expected that some Germans had settled there and were running the place. What a shock when I learned not one person on staff that night... More

I like to go on Thursday nights, they have excellent beers the most big menu of beers I ever seen. I'm German and it's really like a little part of Germany in Merida. The food it's really good to, I like to eat the CHAMORRO, and the restaurant in the center of the city its even more beautiful then the... More

My husband likes flavorful beer as I call it. He was thrilled with all his choices at La Bierhaus. The staff was great bring him different ones to try. One was even poured into a wine glass. I enjoyed my vodka and sodas especially during their happy hours. We decided to go back again for a "snack". We ordered the... More

Went here with many ex-pats that we met during a visit to Merida. Wait staff was superb and the place has a wide selection of beers and European/U.S. liquors. The furnishings are a bit stark, like National Park picnic tables, but the atmosphere was friendly and the staff attentive.
