After hearing about Pop we decided to stop by for an early lunch. Food is good, both local and american, reasonanably priced. No atmosphere to talk aboutbut that is not why you go there. Most of the diners seem to have been coming there for years and enjoy conversation with beverages and food.

I love the Cafeteria Pop and wound up eating there for most of my meals when I was in Merida. The food is really good; corn tortillas come with the meals (not wheat!); everything I had tasted great; staff is really nice; simple but at-home atmosphere; and it opens early! And yes there is wi-fi.

This resturant has been in Merida for many years. More of an older group goes there. The food is good nothing outstanding. But for breakfast a good place to go. The service is great. My eggs last time were way over cooked. But I will go back.

Lots of dishes to enjoy. From retried beans and tortillas to bacon and eggs. Many juices, including Green juice!

A good place for a simple, very inexpensive breakfast. When we left we saw a second dining area which had table cloths, cloth napkins, etc. Same menu, same prices. Next time we will try that area. Food was OK. I ordered the dish in the photo and it wasn't quite the same. Three peas, etc.

Stumbled upon Cafeteria Pop in Medina, and enjoyed a lovely dinner. The service was terrific, the food was lovely, the wi-fi was free, and the prices were very reasonable. Not a high end restaurant, but if you are on a budget, or want wi-fi without being badgered in the historic district, this is a good choice. Menues in Spanish and... More

The place where the locals hang out and the food is prepared in a well run kitchen with the freshest of ingredients. I love the taquitos with chicken and even have them for breakfast. Breakfasts are great and very inexpensive. The specials listed on the placemats give you the best deals for the day. My husband loves the chicken fajitas... More

A small mom and pop place like this is really where we like having breakfast. The breakfast was so good that we automatically decided to have them pack our sandwich lunches for our long drive home.

Just stopped for a bite at Cafeteria Pop.. awsome food.. best club sandwich and cappuccino in Merida. Very reasonable price and just walking distance from the main square or plaza. Worth seeking this one out.
