My daughter and I came here for dinner craving good seafood. It did not disappoint! We both had shrimp dishes and both were amazing! Plus, service was great and atmosphere was friendly. One of the best meals we had in Merida.

My daughter and I came to Merida primarily for Spanish school for a week. We are staying in the Centro part of town so it was nice to be invited to a different area for dinner tonight. I was not disappointed with my meal tonight. I really enjoyed the food at La Pigua. I had the seafood salad and the... More

The food at La Pigua is truly delicious. This place has positioned itself very well with the locals (which speaks about the quality of the food and great flavours). I enjoy stopping by almost every time I visit Merida. If you like seafood and the Yucatan peninsula touch, this is the place for you :).

Had some normal seafood here, but it was nothing special. I would not categorize this as one of the top 10 restaurants in Mérida.

La Pigua is a go to restaurant. The food is amazing, the decor and ambiance are very nice, the service is amazing, and they have a nice wine selection. My favorite dish were these huge shrimp ( more like a small lobster) in a delicious garlic sauce, it is bliss.

We went for dinner on a Sat. night and were promply seated with pleasing smiles from everyone on the staff we encountered. We ordered two mineral waters to have while reading the rather lengthy menu, serverd ice cold and with pleanty of ice in the glass. After reviewing the menu we asked for the wine list and choose a Sauvigon... More

Went to La Pigua in Mérida and in Campeche--couldn't get enough of the fresh shrimp. Had shrimp with mango in Mérida but not on the menu in Campeche. Everything was delicious and fresh, from appetizer to dessert.

La pigua is a very nice and simple restaurant with delicious food, the seafood salad is outstanding, the piguas and octopus is a must and the coconut cake is the best way to end a great meal. The service is very good and very friendly.

Go else where for food, the Seafood cocktail sauce was tasteless and could only taste tomato ketchup- why? The fish soup we tried had a better flavour but fairly pathetic on the whole. Don't waste your money until things improve. The whole experience was ruined by the incredibly rude service, as the waiters are overly pushy with recommendations, hovering around... More
