We ate like kings for a very reasonable price. The tacos are great and the soups are delicious. I also got some flan from a local that was amazing!

We will never forget this place! Small, family run in the Colonia south of main town. Prices were so good, we tipped extra because the food is amazing. Two beers, a water, and two full plates of homemade enchiladas with chips/guac/pico as well as a side bar to add beans, guac and other items to your dinner plate was like... More

As happens when you travel by foot, we were looking for another restaurant, but decided to try el Charco, simply because we were there. We had a great meal! I am vegan, and often my options are limited at restaurants. They were glad to prepare two vegan dishes for me- poblano peppers and vegan sopes. Both were excellent. My wife... More

Authentic Mexican cuisine prepared by owners. A variety of tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas with a great bar of sides to compliment your meal. Located in La Gloria. Food was very reasonably priced.

Our group of six went based on a Mapchicks recommendation. We were not disappointed. We had the Alambre con Caso, enchiladas Suiza, nachos, enchiladas mole and none of us were disappointed! Excellent neighborhood restaurant.

We love this little place! So clean and the food is always delicious! Usually open in the evenings but can be unexpectedly closed. Stop if open....you won't regret it and you will return on every trip!

This place is the real deal! Home made tortillas, great food, delicious flavors, wonderful hosts and chef! I love El Charco!!! This is what Mexico is all about. We had scrumptious tacos and enchiladas mole! I think everything on the menu is exceptional! 5 stars all the way. This is why people go to Mexico!

This place is a gem. Really friendly and authentic. I loved the arrachara tacos and loved even more the variety of homemade sauces and fix in's to put on them. We loved watching the activities of the colonia outside.

Great guacamole to start with and then had the chicken enchiladas. Some of the best I have ever had. Everything was so fresh. You could tell that everything was made when you ordered it and loved the serve yourself bowls of beans, pico, and salsa. Great place and will make me want to stay on the south end next time... Friends took us to this place for a simple tasty meal. The guacamole was some of the best I've ever had. It was quite fresh tasting but coupled with the warm, freshly made tortilla chips, the combo was wonderful. Our party had various tacos, roast pork with cheese and the arrachara. Everyone was happy. The owners are very welcoming and... More
