walking down the main shopping district and passed by this place. Looked interesting, so we stepped inside.
a beautiful patio area, with semi-covered tables, as well as others in the open, and some fully covered. There is also an area for musicians.
We arrived during...happy hour, which had some great prices. When the rain began, we had to move under cover, but the drinks, food and music continued!
Coconut Shrimp were FANTASTIC!
The fish tacos were the best I've ever had!
The drink prices were great, and happy hours will make you HAPPIER!
And the musicians when we were there, were fantastic, even taking time between sets to talk with the customers.
Definitely return here on our next visit to the isla!!More
We went upstairs for the live music and drinks- Very good service and drinks- they gave my girlfriend a special shot for her birthday- just an overall nice place and good time. Next time we will go for food!
Wife and I were scuffling down a barren Hidalgo, while she was trying to buy a few souvenirs to take home. Heard the music and have often wanted to visit, but both previous tries, it was raining and they were closed. When entering, around 6:30-7...Pm there was a table of two couples up near the stage, another couple off to our right and the owner and her dog sitting along the wall. I ordered a beer and the wife a margarita. Music was chill and beer was semi-cold. I think what soured me on the place and through no fault of management, was the fact that I am amazed that I didn't contact malaria in the establishment. We had no less than 30 mosquito bites in the time it took to have a drink. Granted, we're in a tropical climate, we're outside, they may or may not have "OFF" on the bar for the customers to use. Once i realized that we were being eaten alive, we got out of there.
Will definately give it another shot, but will come prepared with mosquito repellant >More

Hola! I remember meeting you. We most certainly have bug repellent if you just ask. Mosquitoes have been more prevalent this year. Hope to see you again!
I got intrigued my the live music playing, and decided to give it a try for a pre-dinner drink. Once I walked in, I knew I was in the right place! The location is super cute, and the rooftop bar is stunning. The setting combined...with the live music created a fantastic environment, and I utterly enjoyed myself. It also helps that I had the BEST margarita ever tried, which was also as big as my face! Sadly they don’t take cards, otherwise I would have had another one! Great place!!More
We went to el Patio for happy hourpo last night which is 4:30 - 6:30. Jacob was our waiter and he was great, very attentive! We started out with egg rolls, and then ordered coconut shrimp. We ended with chicken wings and beef nachos. Between...the 4 of us we had 4 beers and 4 glasses of wine. Our bill was 450 pesos, very reasonable. The music was also very enjoyable. We'll be back!More
Have seen/read all of the rave reviews about El Patio, but it must have been an off night. We went up to the rooftop; tables were full, but we found a bench table open. Waiter eventually came over and dropped off menus; we told him...we just wanted drinks and ordered two. 10 minutes later we realized we were never getting them. A different waiter came over, again with menus; we again ordered two drinks, and again never got them. Since there was no music playing at the time (they were between bands), we just left.More
