After walking by this place several times we decided to stop in for breakfast on day 3 and were quite happy that we did so. No two table settings are the exact same, and that is part of the charm at a place like this. The interior is packed wall to wall, and it is slightly difficult to negotiate a... More

Yummy, bubbling hot breakfast. Melted Gouda cheese on the bottom mixed with white asparagus and ham with a "French fried" egg which is really a broken oozy yummy sunny side up egg covering the top. Yum!

The restaurant takes its name "cazuela" from the Spanish word for cooking pot or casserole pot. Its speciality is in fact a variety of dishes cooked in the shallow cooking pots. A favorite for us is the Cazuela Pirata Mundaca, an egg dish with sausage, onion, mushrooms, tomatoes and herbs. As its website explains, the cazuela is a bit of... More

This is by far the best service we received in any restaurant on the island. Breakfast very good. Closed on Tuesdays. We enjoyed it so much we went there 3 days out of the 8 days we spent there.

Came here today for a late brunch. Had the Cazuela Islas Mujeres. Absolutely delicious, Mexican dish that comes out bubbling on a hot, clay plate. Good prices and amazing service.

The food was awesome and talking with Ziggy about growing up on Isla was priceless. The photos and art on the walls stirred limitless conversations. Never met the owners but Ziggy provided excellent service/conversation. Hope they stay around for many years as good breakfast places are always changing on Isla de mujeres.

We had heard this was THE place to eat breakfast. With so many awesome places to eat it's hard to narrow one or two down to try. This made the short list and it did not disappoint. Prices and food were excellent. This is where I learned to say "la cuenta" lol. The waiter should work for Rosetta Stone. :)

This was our favorite meal of the trip. We ate breakfast here and loved every minute of it. We enjoyed visiting with Ziggy. We will definitely will be returning on our next visit.
