Great food at value price

Poc Chuc is a cute little corner restaurant with an outside sign that says "economica." The prices here truly are economical but there is no skimping on flavor or portion size. A plate of chicken nachos was only 85 pesos, and comparable in size to other places that charge 100 or 120. My sopa de... read more

True good Mexican food. Very wide menu at quite reasonable price. Nothing fancy, but good food, nice friendly folks.

This is a tiny little place off the main tourist area serving fresh and authentic Mexican food. I had the fish tacos. Lots of grilled fish served on fresh made tortillas- delicious! It was lunch time and the place filled up quickly, a mix of locals, families with kids and gringos. Service was as fast as homemade can be. Lots... More

I was on a budget during this trip and this restaurant was right around the corner from my hotel. The breakfast is cheap and delicious, and the black bean soup is amazing.

We are regulars at Poc Chuc on our Isla visits every year. The breakfasts, with fresh fruit and fresh squeezed OJ, are excellent, with omelettes, chilaquoles and a variety of other fine choices. The prices can't be beat. Lots of locals as well as touristas dine here for lunches and dinners as well.

Found this gem after asking some locals where I could get some good Mexican/Yucatan cuisine. Absolutely delicious!! Very reasonable prices and great service.

Only had guacamole but it was all fresh to order as we heard the chef mashing up the avocado, and it has that in writing. Cute little place :)

We were determined to avoid tourist traps while on our trip to Mujeres but may have diverted from our path way too far. I found this place simply by walking by it nearly everyday and observing the lines out the door and around the corner. I thought to myself, "this place MUST be amazing!! We have to try it!" And... My boyfriend and I are no strangers to the Yucatan; preferring to travel inland to Merida and Valladolid on our longer trips. Looking to fulfill our "fix" for panuchos and salbutes, we decided to try out this restaurant. THIS is Yucatecan food! A bottle of coca cola to wash it all down, and we were taken back to Merida. We... More
