Poc Chuc was only steps from my hotel which made it a go to spot. When you see the locals eating there, you know its a good spot. Got into the habit of getting up, usually hungover, and getting a coffee or latte to go. The latte is quite good and cheaper than the Roosters. Breakfasts are recommended. Muy barato.... More

We'd heard that the guacamole at Poc Chuc was supposed to be good. We'd tried it many years ago and one time was good, another time more onion than avocado. Disappointed that this time onion was also dominate. The entrees were OK, not great.

Just arrived and went for a walk for find a comida. I recognized the name and stopped in. Ordered a drink and dinner, there was a bit of a language barrier but my mesero was patient. I asked for the garlic shrimp with more salad instead of rice. I had to order a full other salad to fill me, but... More

Taste is personal so others may rave over their food. We were not impressed. Compared to LaLomita their soupa de Lima doesn't compare in yummy flavor. Plenty of chicken tho in the soup. The enchiladas were good but just ok and the guacamole had too much onion for my taste. Service was fine but the food did not match the... More

This is a family-owned, local place that is not fancy but the food is really really good and it is very economical. We came here twice for the fish tacos and they were the best we had downtown area. And only 40 pesos. The place is a breath of fresh air from some of the other spots downtown that are... More

My wife and I had the Arrechera steak dinner and it was fantastic. Service was top notch and quick for island time. We will for sure and come back next year. The price of the dinner was way less than the quality of the meal, great value.

We chose this restaurant because it was reviewed as authentic, it has friendly service and the food was said to be extremely tasty. We knew it has no air con and you may have to wait at busy times. We arrived at 2pm were seated immediately and enjoyed the breeze of a lovely fan. We enjoyed lime soup, garlic soup,... More

We had dinner here as various people from our hotel recommended it. The restaurant is small and definitely a local cafe. The food was good but very close by is a local restaurant with better food and ambience…Rubens.
