We found this place really by accident. One morning we were caught in a rain downpour and ducked in to get dry. We had breakfast inside while waiting for the rain to stop and could not believe how great the food was and the great prices to go with it. After we left, we couldn't stop talking about it. So... We had dinner here last night. The garlic shrimp was very tasty, the service was good. I dont like that they charge a 4% premium if you use a credit card.

Three of us have been to Amigos three times in the past 16 days. First time we arrived at the cusp of breakfast/lunch and looked at both menus. My friends chose great toasted sandwiches from the breakfast menu and I chose the salad from the lunch. That's when I found they were very helpful with my needs on an auto-immune... More

Stopped here for lunch and couldn't believe how awesome the Arruchera Tacos were. Took a cab to south side of island for dinner at the popular Mango Cafe. We weren't impressed, and they didn't take credit cards, so we headed back to Amigo's and had a huge lobster and steak dinner with drinks for $50.

An very low key and relaxing atmosphere restaurant on Hildago, compared to the others that try and "sell" you a meal while walking by. Was recommended this place by a woman that works at our hotel. More popular with the locals, just the way I like it. Definitely recommend.

While walking we noticed several people here so stopped for dinner. Had the pescado veracruzana which was tasty as was the distinctive baked tortilla akin to a sopapilla. Good service and prices. Full marks!

Came in for dinner. Had the mixed seafood in garlic sauce. Best entree on the island per my wife who is a chef. Had a beer- cold and fine. She had a sauv blanc. Fine. Great find. We only had the entree as we had appetizers before at another place but really enjoyed this place and had to post about... More

Our Canadian friends introduced us to the hardworking guys at Amigos many years ago when we went there for Pescado de Sal. Basically is a beautiful mild white fish that has been caught just for your party that day and baked in a cast of salt. It tastes like lobster and is served with rice, salad, melted butter and flatbread.... More

This used to be one of my main go-to places but in recent years the prices have gone up and the food is not what it used to be. The had delicious guacamole for 35 MP just a few years ago that was hand mashed with really good flavor. The current price is a whopping 110 MP and its thin... More
