We walked thru rain water above the ankles to get there and were happy to do it. We knew from two prior visits in May that it would be well worth it. Food was excellent, service was prompt, musician was good and appropriately low key....Another great night at Javi's!More

We really enjoy coming here every time we visit. The ambiance and the friendliness of the wait staff is top tier. This time we came there was a few new drinks and one of them was a carrot margarita. Most would be turned off, but...I'm willing to try almost anything, and let my tell you, it was so good!! It wasn't too sweet and the tajin rim and cilantro in the glass was an awesome touch. When you go to take a drink you get a nice whiff of cilantro and it pulls it all together. Highly recommend coming here and enjoying the good eats and the brilliance of their mixologist! Fantastic dinner. The fish was fresh and cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, Javi was not in but the musician they had was excellent.

We had the pleasure of eating at Javi's Cantina twice during our week long stay in Isla Mujeres. The first time we were just looking to get out of the heat and ate in the front room with some nice AC. The food was good...and we were treated very well. The next time we came back was one of the nights where Javi's puts on a cultural dance show in the open air bar in the back of the property - very fun!More

Excellent food overall. We had the lobster, which is in season, and it was excellent. We also really liked the fried asparagus. The restaurant is air conditioned. They also had live music, which was low key and a good accompaniment to the dinner.

My wife and I had our rehearsal dinner at Javi's and it was a highlight for our trip! Marla, Nikki and everyone at IMVR made it incredibly easy for us to arrange to have the entire upper patio to ourselves for dinner after a beautiful...sunset cruise (that Marla arranged for us, also absolutely wonderful). The dinner was so lovely! They had personalized menus for us and our guests, and delicious food! There was live music and fantastic drinks, truly an unforgettable night for us. We had been to Javi's before on a previous trip, and had a great time then too. The fish dishes in particular are really delicious, but everything, apps and all were wonderful (asparagus fries, yum!). We were so grateful to have our rehearsal dinner at Javi's and we can't wait to visit again in the future. 5/5 stars, highly recommended!More

We made reservations for the Fiesta on Tues night. Jesus was our server. He was attentive and fun. The food was so good. 3 of us filet mignon, 1 had the parmesean crusted catch of the day which was black grouper and 1 had garlic...butter shrimp. We also tried the grilled pineapple margaritas! Mmmmmuh! After dinner they got us a taxi so we would get back safely! So kind!More

Really disappointed in the Dinnertainment experience... i was expecting entertainment in a festive environment. There were two musicians there for about an hour. No other entertainment, nothing celebratory, no dancing... nothing. A disappointing experience to say the least.More

Azalea welcomed us like we were family. Their explanation of the menu as well as Kevin’s was really well done and helped us decide on our dish. We started with the shrimp ceviche which was so delicious I closed my eyes to make sure I...savoured every bite. I had the catch of the day grilled with vegetables and rice. It was also quite delicious. The drinks were really good and I’m glad I tried the grilled pineapple margarita. It was a delicious combination of spicy and sweet. We definitely recommend this place if you want to treat yourself to a special diner while on the Island.More

We were told about this restaurant by someone at our pool…boy what a great place! The food was great, though my shrimp entree was HOT! I asked the waitress is it was spicy and she said “noooo”….note to self, their definition of spicy is WAY...different in Mexico! No problem as my hubby had the garlic shrimp and we simply switched plates. Yummy! The highlight of the evening was the Mexican Review they performed! Omg…the best traditional dancing we had ever seen. And it’s right in the middle of the restaurant. The show is an hour long, and we never felt it was too much. The dancers were incredible and the live music made it even better. So worth it! The show happens a couple nights a week (I think I heard Tuesday and Thursday, but don’t quote me). Don’t miss it!More
